  • Summary

  • Welcome to The Great Sift Podcast. Through weekly installments, we provide content that will engage, encourage, and empower you as a believer in Jesus Christ. We tackle topics of the day, host interviews, and provide a Biblical view on what is happening in the church and the world at large. Pastors are tasked with many responsibilities. Through the years I have watched as congregations keep getting bigger and bigger. Oftentimes, it is difficult to ensure everyone is on the same page. The goal of this channel and podcast is to help fill in the gaps you may be missing in your Christian walk. We want to be a resource for you as we all continue to get closer to the Lord. So grab a Bible, open your heart, and let’s begin to sift through all that God has in store.

  • Episode 22: Is it ALWAYS God’s Will to heal?
    Jan 24 2022

Today’s episode we will be discussing the question, Is it always God’s will to heal? I am going to attempt to represent both sides of the discussion with clarity and ultimately we will allow God’s Word to speak for itself. I do believe there is a clear answer to this question. We will first look at the verses that are taught to show it is always God’s will to heal physically here on earth. Secondly, we will share what that brings out for the believer, and lastly we will look at what God’s Word says in regards to healing and affliction in a believer's life. So grab a bible, a pen and some paper, sit back and relax as The Great Sift begins, right now.

  • Episode 21 The Weight in the Balance
    Jan 14 2022

Today’s episode we are going to be examining the teaching of the prosperity gospel. It is not an examination of any one person’s ministry, rather a look into the basis of a teaching that has been damaging to many lives in our nation and around the world. As believers we have the wonderful ability in our world today to ask ourselves this question, “What does the Bible say?” Then we can go and read it for ourselves as to grow in our relationship with the Lord. So as we move ahead, I will be quickly explaining one of the foundational ways the prosperity gospel is presented, share what text is used, and then go through what the full context of that same passage is to see if what some teach is what the Bible says. So grab a Bible, pen/paper for some notes, and sit back as the Great Sift begins right now.

In 2022, as The Great Sift becomes a larger focus, I hope to double my listener reach. As this podcast continues to build momentum, I want to extend an opportunity to you to partner with me in any of these three ways:

    • Prayer. I would be honored if you would pray for me and my family. The reach we have locally, as we travel, and through this podcast is reaching people that would not normally be found in church.

    • Connection. In 2022 I will be conducting one interview per month that focuses on different current events and how they affect the church at large. If you have people who would be good for these types of interviews or maybe you would like to be, then let's connect.

    • Financially. As I mentioned above, I am making this my primary focus. A partnership with us financially is how we will continue to make an impact on those around us. For those who make a monthly recurring donation you will be sent a free copy of my book. As well as, receive a monthly encouraging word from me via email. The ways to give are found below:

  • Episode 20: Is There Narcissism in the Church?
    Jan 6 2022

There are many attributes about God that we find in Scripture. Three of the most repeated and reiterated are, God is good, God is able, and God is faithful. Through His goodness He shows His ability to bring people to repentance. He is then faithful to His Word that anyone who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved! However, in our society today, the amount of self glorification and deifying of man is rampant. Unfortunately, I am not talking about the secular world or its worldview. I am talking about how this practice has entered the visible church. Today we will be discussing a few ways it has entered, what popular teachings are supporting this perspective, and what is a Biblical response to the issue we are facing. So as always, grab a Bible, a pen for some notes, and sit back and relax as the Great Sift starts right now.

If you found this helpful, please do consider partnering with us.
