The Collier Landry Show

By: Collier Landry
  • Summary

  • I was 11 years old when I heard my father murder my mother. No one believed me except one detective, so I went undercover to gather evidence, and together, we solved my mother’s murder. I testified against my father in his murder trial, leading to his lifetime of incarceration. Then, the hard part began. Disowned by my family and sent to live in foster care, I started life over at age 12. I moved to Hollywood, became a filmmaker (A Murder in Mansfield), and now share my story to inspire others like you. By sharing my process, I hope that it serves as a kind of therapy and reconciliation for myself and anyone who may be processing betrayal and dark trauma in their lives. I believe we can empower our darkest moments to become our brightest legacy. I wake up every day with a smile and put one foot in front of the other, and so can you. Let me show you how. • Narcissistic Manipulation Behind Bars- Prison Letters
    Apr 20 2024
#narcissist #truecrime #mentalhealth Today, I break down one of my father's letters from prison, in which he attempts to gaslight and manipulate me as a child. I break down key elements of the letter that I feel either expose narcissistic traits that we might also find in others or that stem into other areas of malignant narcissism or emotional manipulation. *Please note I am not a mental health professional nor am I attempting to diagnose someone, I am only pointing out things that I have learned throughout my years fo dealing with this type of emotional manipulation firsthand. It should be noted that people who suffer from narcissistic personality disorder rarely seek treatment. This is due to their perception of their self-image as they see themselves as special, unique, and above standard. Their fragile ego is unable to accept any flaws or imperfections and thus inflates their own self-image to improve their own self-esteem. Moreover, they project their imperfections on others and blame others for everything that goes wrong. wanders but great

These podcasts tend to wander in elliptical loops around the topic
But that's fine because I learned so much about and a bunch of other cool stuff.
