5/5 Breathtaking and heartwarming.

I absolutely loved it! John has written the essays in a very pleasing manner. I really loved his narration as well: very soothing and well-phased, as if he was making a conversation with me! The soundtrack was awesome. Highly recommended for anyone who seeks for the perfect balance of moments filled with chuckles and tears (where you can't stop yourself from crying).

Shockingly thoughtful

While it seems like so much i read and listen to is is not completely thought out, or Incompletely expressed with glaring holes in the underlying logic, here is John Green being thoughtful— shockingly, staggeringly thoughtful. Thank you.

An Introspective Thought Stirrer

TAR is a thoughtful, well produced podcast by a man who does thought well. It displays a level of earnestness that draws a listener in and Mr. Green approaches his topics with introspection, poignancy, and wry humor.

My only critique is that sometimes Mr. Green can toss in more eloquence than is needed or a bit too much pretentiousness that makes it feel targeted towards people who want to feel smart, but that may just be my self loathing talking. It’s a good podcast.

Amazing

I recommend this for everyone. The production is well written, thoughtful, introspective, and funny in just the right balance. John Green does an amazing job sharing his view of the world in a way that makes it relatable on a deeply felt level. I am in awe of his openness with the listener and his willingness to share so much of himself. He exposes his flaws candidly and makes us feel ok to have ours, be they similar or different.

I will admit, I don't always agree with the ratings he gives everything (he is just human after all), but I highly enjoy listening to him give them!

I give The Anthropocene Reviewed, 5 stars. And a very big Thank You!

Mixed Feelings!

It’s obvious he lives in a blue state, the incident of the woman watching her husband, die on something similar to FaceTime to me that is cruelty in the time of a pandemic. John seems to be a kind gentle person but not against political enemies. For example, he condemns someone for calling the pandemic, the China virus, and now we know everybody’s admitting that it did come from China. I don’t think there’s any question about that. many diseases are named from the places that they come from Like west Nile disease, rocky mountain spotted fever, I could go on -there’s no prejudice toward these places. I think that was just a hateful remark From John it was not racism from the person who spoke it. obviously John is very talented and he writes about what he knows. Mental illness. I read the sample for turtles all the way down, and I knew that I could not read that book because I do suffer from anxiety myself however, I have watched the movie several times the fault in our stars and I think it’s one of the most beautiful movies I’ve ever seen and I thank him for that and maybe I’ll try some of his other books. Thank you, John. I apologize for this horrible grammar, I was having technical difficulties, the instructions on how to write a review are covering up my typing of the review so I was having to do it, see my OCD does not to say blind I idid without seeing it, do you understand John,
