  • 101 "Strategic Incompetence" [with Noah Snyder]
    Jan 2 2023

Jordan "J. Ro" Ordonez, or Mister Jordan to his students, talks with teaching artist friend Noah Snyder.

Noah is a good friend and a crewmate of mine on the Chicago 312 Crew from the Chicago Bulls. It was great to connect more deeply than we already have about the other common thing that we do, teaching and empowering the next generation of dancers. We talked about class retention; class management with different levels of interests, skills, and social and emotional skills; and a shared in the joy of seeing our classes and dancers grow and come together. What resonated with me most about this conversation was our shared discouragement and frustration when confronted with the challenge of a group of mixed interested students.
