  • ​ We are looking to find the heart of the hero. After enduring life-changing circumstances, brothers Brian and Kevin both recognized the need to highlight these unique individuals. Without the courageous actions of these people, their lives would never be the same. They realized that their life’s purpose is to find more people like the ones that touched their lives so significantly, people who exhibit the same very special quality; the heart of a hero. What some consider just doing their job, others may view as going above and beyond the call of duty. Brian and Kevin found no better way to describe these people but to call them “Salt Of The Earth," those who are considered to be of great worth and reliability. These individuals are life savers, they are everyday heroes, they are SOTE!

    Carolyn has been a registered nurse for the last 30 plus years. For the first few years of her career she worked on a medical-surgical unit, and for the last 30 years, she has been in labor and delivery at St Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson NY. She enjoys traveling, spending time by the water, doing things outdoors and RVing. Carolyn and her husband hope to travel cross country next year when she retires. The most important thing in her life though is her family. She is blessed with 3 awesome kids and 6 beautiful grandkids. Between her nursing career and her family, life is very busy these days.
