  • Alice Wilkes - Exclusive Wedding & Event Planning & Design
    Jul 26 2022

In this episode I speak to Alice Wilkes. A Wedding & Event planner who decided to combine design with the service that she offers in the world of Luxury Weddings & Events.

I came across Alice when I saw Pixie Lott's beautiful wedding. Alice was responsible for the planning and design for all of this and I have to say it's one of the most beautiful weddings I've ever seen. It was captured by Katie Julia whose work I really admire and I feel like it's going to inspire lots of brides for the next couple of years.

We talk about Pixie Lott's wedding but also how Alice started her business and how it's grown so quickly despite Covid & Lockdowns. I loved hearing all about the process that Alice goes through and I enjoyed picking her brains about her predictions for the wedding world in 2023 too.

Below are the links for Alice's Website & Instagram where you will find so much inspiration....

  • Nana Acheampong - Fashion & Celebrity Stylist & Style Editor
    Jan 20 2022

In this episode I am speaking to Celebrity Stylist Nana. You might know Nana from seeing her on the TV.......she was in the fabulous You Are What You Wear and she hosted some of the fashion segments on This Morning during lockdown.  However, it's her work behind the scenes for which she is most well known in the industry.  Styling for celebrities, actors &  musicians such as Ed Sheeran, Little Mix and One Direction (she was the stylist on their season of Xfactor too!) Nana has been working as a stylist for over a decade, working her way up from an intern.

Nana is currently working as the stylist for the popular Fabulous Magazine (the supplement in the Sun Newspaper) and therefore works with all of the celebrities that are in the public eye right now. I was so keen to hear about the life of a stylist, what it involves and do you get star struck!?....

This is such a great chat and Nana had lots of great tips to share. Her Instagram is full of inspiration and had me shopping for colour and feeling excited to try new combinations.

  • Dress Dreams Bridal - Kate Bull
    May 26 2021

I'm back for Season 2 and during this season I am speaking to some of my favourite people within the wedding industry too.

Being a Wedding Photographer, I thought that I would speak to some of the wonderful people that I have met over the years but still keep it 'fashion' My hope is that it will be really helpful for new brides but also that  existing listeners will still enjoy it because we chat about how fashion has shaped and influenced their lives and career paths.

Kate was a real joy to speak to and has the most wonderful ability to put people at ease. She really knows her stuff but explains everything in the most simple terms so that you could never feel intimidated in any way.

We chat about what to consider before visiting and I think that there are so many things that you may be surprised to hear.  Kate not only dresses brides but she also gets quite emotionally involved which I absolutely love about her.

  • Anna Cascarina - Fashion Editor & Stylist
    Mar 4 2021

This is episode 10 and it's the final one of the season!

I am delighted to finish the series with a lady I admire so much....Anna Cascarina. Anna is making it her mission to help women in their 40's and beyond become more visible and to be represented. I absolutely love all that she does.

Her background in fashion explains her editorial style Instagram feed & stunning blog that feels just like the pages of your favourite magazine.

It was so nice to hear all about where Anna's passion for fashion began and the fabulous career she has had to date. I learnt a lot from our chat, taking away lots of great tips and advice too. Both being in our 40's, we did harp back a little to 'the old days' and talk about how we really do feel for the pressures that the teenage girls are facing.

  • Joanne Hegarty - The Stylist & The Wardrobe. Stylist, Journalist, Content Creator and Influencer
    Jan 5 2021

In episode 8 I am speaking to Joanne Hegarty, known on Instagram at The Stylist & The Wardrobe

With Joanne being a stylist, I was interested to pick her brains on a few things, including what we might be wearing over the coming months. Her style is so classy and I think she is definitely a great one for advice on purchasing key, investment pieces so we chat about this too.

We talk about how fashion is different between England and Ireland and how she enjoys purchasing items from different countries to build an eclectic wardrobe full of memories.

I love her mantra of ‘life is too short for ugly clothes’ and I definitely took away so many tips and ideas from our chat. Speaking to people whose style I admire really does help to give me the motivation to get dressed and put some nice clothes on which is something I feel we all need right now.

We may not have anywhere to go, what with lockdown and now terrible weather, but as Joanne says, it can be therapeutic so it’s well worth still making the effort some days. I hope that listening gives you the inspiration to just bloody wear it! Even if we are currently in lockdown!

  • Sara Louise Thomas - Sara Waiste. Blogger & Owner of Waiste Vintage
    Nov 25 2020

This week I am joined by Sara Louise Thomas....who you may know as Sara Waiste on Instagram or know for her shop Waiste Vintage.

I’ve long been obsessed with Sara's style. Not only is she super gorgeous, but she shares so many great ideas and tips too. She has a fantastic blog (links all below) and her photos are always so beautiful, with a real retro feel.

We recorded this episode back in the Summer and so we discussed how sad we felt to be heading into the new colder seasons. Sara said that she so much more of a Summer girl but her grid has been my absolute go to for Autumn/Winter so far!

I am really quite obsessed with her style and the way that she layers and accessorises. Her looks have a strong vintage feel but are so well balanced so they don’t ever look fancy dress and we talk about this during our chat. She will bring everything up to date by adding a modern twist and she just inspires me to bring a little bit of rockstar to my outfits.

We talk about how her love of fashion began and how she used to work for ASOS before then going onto create her own shop Waiste Vintage which is in Brighton and online.

With lots of great tips and plenty of nostalgia in this one…..I hope you love the chat as much as I do.

  • Chet 'Chillies & Clothes' - Lifestyle & Fashion Blogger / Sustainable Fashion Student
    Nov 6 2020

For episode 6 I am speaking to Chet, known on social media as Chillies & Clothes.

Chet is a strong advocate for sustainable fashion which she is also currently studying. She is very conscious when shopping and we speak a lot about how she achieves this in a world where not only is the fashion fast, but it’s also constantly there when we scroll. Chet shares so many great tips, not only on how we can all be more conscious but also on how to style your outfits.

We chat about diversity in fashion and how she feels that has been in the past and how it's now hopefully developing.

Chet doesn’t hold back when it comes to talking about the influencer/blogger lifestyle. She tells it like it is and you get to hear that it really can be hard work but also how rewarding it can be too. I find Chet's style really inspiring but what I love the most is that she shows you how to change up an outfit really easily. She shows that all of the looks are achievable and that you don't need a huge budget to look good. I love following woman like Chet, because it's nice to see that you can still dress well and on trend when you are in your 40's
