  • Homelessness, a Different Kind of Pandemic | Lara
    Jan 8 2021

With over 235,000 people a year becoming homeless in Canada, this is a huge issue. Join me as I discuss the topic of homelessness with my guest,  Lara McLean, founder of an initiative called Everyday is Homeless Day, which she started at the young age of 13. Throughout the years, she has continued to grow it, and dedicates her free time to educating people, raising awareness, and removing the stigma associated with being homeless. Everyday is Homeless Day also supports two local charities - Haven Toronto and Women's Habitat of Etobicoke. You can get involved by reaching out to her via Instagram (below).

Host, Maria, is also passionate about this subject and has a fundraiser to help support a charity called Engage and Change. You can donate to her fundraiser at www.canadahelps.org/me/jtWrRne.

  • Girl Chat: Auntie Rona's Impact on Mental Health, Dating & Banana Bread?! | Katie
    May 16 2020

Today's episode is going to be a little bit different than our usual topics...and a lot more informal. I’ve invited my best friend Katie to sit with me for a raw girl chat about the pandemic and how it’s been affecting our mental health, relationships, and more. *Trigger Warning* for those who may be sensitive to those topics.

I invited Katie to discuss this with me because she’s very passionate about mental health and she’s someone I always go to for advice. She’s basically my personal therapist and I wanted to share her wisdom with you guys and not be selfish and keep her to myself. ;)

*This chat is opinion based only and a summary of our experiences and Katie's experiences.*
