Commitment: Being the best you can be without external motivation

  • Summary

  • Living from the heart involves having a commitment to one’s self to be the best one can be. However, we live unconsciously seeking external value for everything we do. External value is what makes something worthwhile doing or is a reason for doing something. Living from the heart requires that a person’s only benefit is to be the best they can be. Join Peggy Lit and David Cope as they share their experience of commitment and how the mind compulsively seeks external value, which thwarts our capacity to value our self and life. Because many of our spiritual beliefs inhibit the experience of living from the heart, Peggy and David introduce a belief of the week. In this episode, they will discuss how the belief in oneness is outgrown in the experience of living from the heart.
