Hello, my name is Stephen James. Welcome to my podcast Bubbas Comedy.

I think all comedians should work a weekend as security in a bar to understand people better for myself I spent 13 years doing security. Some unique MAYBE sometimes unbelievable stories from my topflight security days.

I started My lifelong dream of stand-up comedy. Starting in 2013 And I absolutely fell in love with the camaraderie, THE like-minded people THAT I had the privilege of working with every weekend I Finally found my true calling, so I thought. Here's a little secret, if you want to hear God laugh tell him your plan. Now In 2015 everything changed in a matter of minutes. I was known longer just a comedian. But now a Survivor of Gun Violence. Of course, my luck, I was shot in the Face. YES, IN THE FACE!! After years of rehab mentally. I still Battle with PTSD and depression every day. But the only time I truly feel alive is when I make a room full of strangers laugh and forget about their personal battles for 45 minutes... I want to share my 2nd chance at this journey of getting back on stage, with this podcast You never know who might drop in to share their story. We will have "Conversations" about COMEDY, CRIME, FOOD and what keeps them on this crazy journey called life.
