    May 21 2024

We get into some good old fashioned discussion on the newly released Tales of the Empire, which gives us a whole bunch of interesting backstory on one of the coolest characters to come from the Mando-verse, Morgan Elsbeth! Let's jump in!

  • Episode CXI - The Bad Batch Episodes 46 and 47: Flash Strike and The Cavalry Has Arrived
    May 10 2024

With two episodes that really feel like they should have been combined into one singular finale, we have finally reached the end of The Bad Batch. While Flash Strike left at least one of us wanting a bit more, the finale was a beautiful ending and it wraps up the story in a strong and heartfelt way. Let's jump in!

  • Episode CX - The Bad Batch Episode 45: Into the Breach
    May 2 2024

Really feeling the spaced out release schedule now with these episodes, Into the Breach is a solid story but feels incomplete without the surrounding episodes. On a rewatch paired with Juggernaut and Flash Strike it fits right in, but how does it stand up on its own? Let's jump in!

This is my favorite Star Wars Podcast

Generally speaking I like to enjoy Star Wars. It is a fun universe, I love it, but I don't take it that seriously (I mean I don't get mad about it, I do SERIOUSLY love Star Wars). For me, my Star Wars fandom is about enjoying the magic of an expansive lived-in space-fantasy setting with space wizards, brave knights, evil villains, princesses, dashing rogues, and a complex mythology (a lot like Lord of the Rings, but IN SPACE!). Beneath Twin Suns is the only podcast I know of that approaches Star Wars from that perspective.

I am a long time Star Wars fan, but I struggle with a lot of the online Star Wars commentary because I want serious in-depth nerdy discussion of the franchise, but I also want a bias toward actually liking Star Wars. Most of the online commentary I see these days is far too negative, Beneath Twin Suns can certainly be critical at times, but the criticisms are aimed at the stories themselves, not some larger politics of grievance. The hosts are both big fans who _LIKE TO ENJOY_ Star Wars. It is refreshing, and pleasant to listen to them go on about an IP I love.
