Great to hear the start of …

… so, let’s hear some more! You’ve introduced (to me, anyway!) a more humor-related twist to crime fiction, which could prove to be a bit of a relief during all this real-world seriousness. It was also great to hear crime fiction talked about by women!

This was - like - you know - kinda - painful

I struggled through all five parts of this podcast, hoping to learn about some new books I'd like to listen to ... and fortunately, I did ... five of them.

However, this was a painful listening experience. For a group of supposedly professional communicators, the participants in this podcast (with the exception of Aaron) sounded like a bunch of teenagers hiding under the covers during a sleepover. There was far too much giggly laughter, particularly from Nicole.

"Likes" permeated every segment of the presentation, often two or three times in a single sentence. "You know" was nearly as pervasive. And all too often, books, characters or authors were "kinda" one thing or another.

And while I'm being a grumpy grammarian, conclusions are "based on" not "based off of" things ... and it is "research on" a topic, not "research around" it. Small things, of course, but these presenters are book EDITORS for crying out loud and should know better.

Don't misunderstand ... I love Audible and have more than 1200 titles in my Audible library. I will check out the 5 books I added to my want list based on these podcasts and appreciate having them brought to my attention. But I will not likely listen to any more of the Audicted podcasts.
