For decades, Deepak Chopra and Wayne Dyer have delighted and enlightened audiences with their popular books, lectures, and tapes. In Living Without Limits, these provocative thinkers share their wisdom before a live audience as they question and challenge one another on the following topics:
  • The Essence of the Bhagavad Gita: Explained by Paramhansa Yogananda
    Narrated by Swami Kriyananda
Rarely in a lifetime does a new spiritual classic appear that has the power to change people's lives and transform future generations. This is such a book. The Essence of the Bhagavad Gita: Explained by Paramhansa Yogananda shares the profound insights of Yogananda, author of Autobiography of a Yogi, as remembered by one of his few remaining direct disciples, Swami Kriyananda.
  • It's Never Crowded Along the Extra Mile: 10 Secrets for Success and Inner Peace
    Narrated by Wayne W. Dyer
Drawing upon the lessons of great teachers such as St. Francis of Assisi, Viktor Frankl, Jesus Christ, Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa, and Buddha, Dr. Dyer helps you discover that you can achieve true inner peace and success by integrating ten powerful "secrets" into your life that can transform your everyday existence into a path for spiritual enlightenment.
  • Making the Shift: How to Live Your True Divine Purpose
    Narrated by Wayne W. Dyer
The Shift is a call to become more conscious, to move from aimless ambition to meaning and purpose. Making this Shift is a necessity in order to live a peaceful, fulfilling life aligned with your divine calling. In this deeply engaging live seminar, Dr. Wayne W. Dyer explains that instead of heeding the demands of the ego, which keep you mired in self-sabotage through never-ending pleas and false promises, you can choose to move in a new direction.

Publisher's Summary

The publication of Power vs. Force by Sir David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D., reveals to the general public secret information heretofore only shared by the author with certain Nobelists and world leaders.

Analyzing the basic nature of human thought and consciousness itself, the author makes available to everyone the key to penetrating the last barrier to the advancement of civilization and science and resolving the most crucial of all human dilemmas: how to instantly determine the truth or falsehood of any statement or supposed fact.

All human endeavors have the common goal of understanding or influencing human experience. To this end, man has developed numerous descriptive and analytical disciplines: morality, philosophy, psychology, and so on. Regardless of what branch of inquiry one starts from (philosophy, political theory, theology) all avenues of investigation eventually converge at a common meeting point: the quest for an organized understanding of the nature of pure consciousness.

To explain that which is simple can be difficult indeed. Much of this book is devoted to the process of making the simple obvious. If we can understand even one simple thing in depth, we will have greatly expanded our capacity for comprehending the nature of the universe and life itself.

    "Poorly Produced"
By Angel (Caldwell, ID, USA) Dec 4, 2006
Many times it is wonderful to have the author read his book whereas who better to articulate and emphasize the main points than the person who wrote them. This is not one of those times! Whoever produced this book made a serious mistake allowing the author to read this work. Even the female voice on it sounds amateurish, I must say. If you want this information (and it may be valuable), buy the book, but don't waste an audio credit on it. Chances are you will turn it off after a short time Im sorry to say. Simply unlistenable.

    "Irreproduceable results, & half truths"
By Bart (Bandon, OR, USA) Sep 12, 2008
It was a real chore to get through this book. The author's marble-mouthed reading was very hard to understand and his "science" is "non-science". Through out the book the author refers to a diagnostic test that could not be reproduced. He then proceeds to inject his own beliefs & philosophy supposedly supported by his "test". In fact he tries to back them up with half truths & false logic. He even claims to have tested some of the great avatars of history (Jesus, Budda, Mohammad) and their beliefs and compared the "originals" to today's versions...how can he know what the originals were?? Oh...that's right, our collective data base of human experience tells him!

I guess I must be dismissed as someone with a low "score" on his test, so be it. But until a less subjective one comes along, I'll live with that.

    "Life Changing..."
By Cheryl (Napa, CA, USA) Jun 19, 2008
Okay... the author should not have done the audio for his own book. His reading is awful BUT this book is amazing! If audio is your only option for this book then bare with him and get it. I bought the hard copy too so I could read over chapters that were hard to listen to. This book is a MUST! Practice patience with the reader.

    "Disturbing Yet Enlightening"
By Todd (Glen Rock, PA, USA) Jun 12, 2008
I've repeated this book several times. I can't seem to put it away. Ever wonder why some people command power over you? Ever consider using force to counter a power over you? Ever wonder why it blows up in your face, and fails miserably? Human behavior and interaction is based on so many variables I've always thought it impossible to derive an equation that makes sense. But here are 48 equations, or rules that shed light on the mystery of the basics of human social hierarchy. They work. They've been working for centuries.

    "Narration not that bad"
By Justin (Montreal, Quebec, Canada) Mar 20, 2008
The narration is not really as bad as I expected based on previous reviews. The information is valuable enough to give it more than a minute's listen before giving up. For example, I got used to his voice after about 30 minutes and I retained lots of the material. Despite the voice I'm looking forward to listening to the whole 8 hours again.

The basic ideas are unique as far as spiritual teaching goes, and quite convincing and easy to observe in daily experience.

    "Great book, good audiobook...."
By Paul (BaselSwitzerland) Sep 10, 2009
This is a really interesting book. Extremely thought-provoking, and has the potential to be life-changing. However, there are 2 things to bear in mind: 1) The rational of the book is based 100% on applied kinesology (i.e. muscle testing). If you don't accept this or have an open mind, the whole premise falls down (I actually tried it as he suggests, and was positively suprised to see that it seems to work); 2) As other reviewers have pointed out, the author does not have a clear speaking voice and has a very monotone presentation. This can make it a struggle to listen to. For me, the first (and most technical chapter) was extremely hard to get through, and then (due to both the easier material and getting used to the voice, I guess) it wasn't much of a problem and I stopped noticing.

    "What was the score?"
By David (West Jordan, UT, USA) Dec 26, 2007
I wonder what the score was for the decision to have the author read this?

He should have at least let the oral anesthetic wear off first. Which begs the question, Why would he schedule a dentist appointment so close to his reading?

    I digress.

Really though, was Steven Wright busy or something?
