Only One Who Cannot Be Bound by Magic Can Defeat the Witch Queen

Karn was just a boy when dark forces tore his home apart, leaving him orphaned and burning for vengeance. Taken in by an unlikely mentor, he finds himself thrust into The Forge—a brutal training ground where the Witch Queen molds her deadliest warriors. Strength is survival, and every lesson is paid for in blood.

But Karn is different. Magic cannot touch him. And in a world where power is everything, that makes him dangerous.

As he battles through ruthless trials and shifting alliances, Karn unearths secrets buried deep in his past—truths that could shatter the Witch Queen's reign . . . or doom him to her service. The path to revenge is treacherous, and every choice comes with a cost.

To break free, Karn must decide: is he a weapon forged for war, or something far more deadly?

The story is quite caching, I often found myself wanting to delve deeper into the mysteries and action of the tale, the narrator Bayley did an amazing job giving life to all the characters, although I do have to say that the story is a bit predictable sometimes and the writer tends to overuse some expressions and words such as " My curiosity got the better of me" and " A twinkle of mischief in his/her eyes" not a big deal but I couldn't help but to notice it. Overall a great listen and I would recommend 10/10 in my opinion.

Strange setup for a revenge tale with the "victims" the MC aligns with being those who genocides his entire people? Then within those circumstances the MC is very basic, naive, and spineless. not an enjoyable book, though the performance was pretty good.

Weak doormat MC is a mismatch for the revenge tale setup
