A New Epoch for the Dwarves of Ice-Cloak

When a young dwarf named Yorvig travels to a mining claim in the wilds of the Red Ridges, he learns by hard experience that his fellow prospectors are more focused on ore than survival. Thinking he alone can hold disaster at bay, Yorvig plots his way to becoming captain of the mine. Another strong story from author McMaken. I've enjoyed this author and his previous books of Ice Cloak.
Though the author has a way with their storytelling, it does feel a bit rushed through the action scenes being depicted. Otherwise, they do a wonderful job of details and plots.

Through discribtive writing, the author transports you to an exciting land and people! If you enjoy fantasy novels with dawrves you have come to the right place. The story is very relatable as well as thought provoking. The narrator was spot on aswell. I couldn't stop listening. Highly recommend!

Such vivid detail in the writing felt like I was there. As I was listening, I could see the mountains, and taste the mead, smell the foul smell one ear. Absolutely incredible storytelling!!!
