Another great mystery on the fens. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the entire series as a whole. I hope there’s more but happy to see where this one ended definitely worth the listen.

Interesting and engaging from the start. Great secondary characters who make the story highly entertaining and move the pieces into place.
Have enjoyed this series very much and the fact that new characters are introduced and in the stories.

Solid Story in the Series

The reader was fabulous; she really makes the characters come to life. I feel like I’m right there in the room listening to the conversation. The storyline is exciting, the descriptions and narrative arch precise and engaging.
If I were to say anything, it would be to brush up on the reader’s Welsh accent. As a Scot, she sounds more Scottish than Welsh. But that is simply nitpicking! A great read as always! Thanks to all involved 😎

I have all that Joy Ellis has written. This book was not what I expected. It left me wanting. Somewhat disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, I love all of Joy’s books! This one was just different.

Horrible narration. I had to give up. Henrietta is far too posh, everyone sounds like the Princess of Wales and the men have a touch of Australian !
