Olivia Sachdeva's life is flawless. With a first from Oxford and as the youngest partner at Bentley lawyers, she expects high standards from everyone. Her only indulgences are eating iced desserts and repeat watching rom-coms, especially those featuring Kate Laurence-pure escapism and cinematic perfection.

But, when the actor walks into Olivia's office with a bag full of divorce and a messy personal life, that perfect bubble bursts. Kate seems nothing like the screen goddesses she plays, and Olivia must put aside her comfort viewing and handle the case like the true professional she is.

It requires secrecy, especially with indiscreet friends. Will best friend Charlotte ever read the room? And will Millie, who instantly reads the room, ever stop commenting loudly?

And Kate? She doesn't know what to think about this frosty lawyer. But she needs a quick divorce from a mistake of a marriage, which was over before it started, and Olivia Sachdeva is the best.

But little by little, Olivia and Kate glimpse behind the mask, to find someone they weren't looking for, who may not even be perfect, but might be the right person for them.

The narrators breathy and lengthy pauses took at lot to get into. Another narrator could have better carried this story. And kept the pace moving forward

Love the story but

I couldn't finish the first book in the series because I could not sustain the company of Charlotte or Millie any longer. They both read as way younger (juvenile) than their age, employment, and life experiences would suggest. I did, however, love Olivia - her sardonic wit, her care for Charlotte, and with the latter not just the intimacy but the protective stance. So, of course, I was eager to follow Olivia's story - but who is the sidekick? Yes, Charlotte. This Charlotte is even more incongruous. Another reviewer suggested that there is a shift in narration, maybe, but the character's effusiveness, absence of verbal restraint, are all remarkably bizarre in a lawyer, no matter their field; don't get me started on Millie - oh, I think I find them both odious as characters, did I say that already? Anyway, in terms of form, it is a shame that a supporting character is written to be so large that they overwhelm the main character's voice, if not the primary storyline. It made the novel feel uneven, as if it were an installment that would allow us to gain a greater understanding of Charlotte's interiority and personality, rather than Olivia's story; and that was a tad disappointing.

Maybe the narration, maybe the character...meh-ish

Fresh, quick witted, dramatic in the best of ways, "Tempting Olivia" gives what romance novel readers/listeners crave. Exemplary character development of both the main and ancillary characters we've met in the start of this series, "Finding Millie", this second installment takes the series to a new level of excellence. I love a book that makes me laugh out loud and this one doesn't disappoint. I also love a book that grabs me by the heart and again, I was not disappointed. Looking forward to the third in the series! The narration was also brilliant, but only 4 star due to the consistent lags, especially towards the end of the book.

Brilliant

The story is compelling & sweet but I had to stop at 7 hours left in the book to come and do this review because the unneeded pauses by the narrator are driving me insane. I don't know if it's my ADHD brain or if the pauses are because the narrator had to stop recording and start again but they really should have been caught in post editing.

Absolutely loved this story

I liked the story, it was well written, I liked the MC bot of them. Narration was ok a little hard on the ear as it was in a high pitch.

Good listen
