Siyanna Cassidy was overjoyed to find that she was pregnant only one month behind her twin sister, Summer. The two had done life together on so many levels, including marrying twin brothers. However, in a brutal twist of tragic events, Siyanna is forced into early labor on the heels of the shocking loss of her sister. As if she hadn't been heartbroken enough, the shooting death of her husband follows swiftly. Suddenly a single mother and widow, she partners with her brother-in-law to raise their children.

Drue Hendrix is a Black romance author. His stories of love and strength had his own life as added fuel now that his beautiful wife was having their first child. But when she dies in childbirth his world is flipped upside down. The pain is enough to bring him to his knees. Add in the news of losing his twin brother and life is hardly worth living. Still, for the sake of his newborn, and his brother's grieving household, he is determined to raise his family.

Mirroring each other's grief turns into soothing each other's hearts for Siyanna and Drue. Yet will the nature of their bond ruin their chances at love? Or will they become one another's saving grace?

This was my first listen to work from this author. The narrator wasn’t bad, but there were some parts that called for more emotion than was given. As another reviewer mentioned, it would be nice to hear a male in respective parts. The storyline was very unique, and it makes you wonder what would you have done? It seems only natural for two people in the same space to catch feelings, and even more so when that person highly favored your former spouse. You’d just have to question if it’s for sincere and honest reasons and not because it was easy. It’s possible if they had separated from the beginning that they might not be drawn to one another. It was admirable that they were there for each other to console due to their loss and for their baby boys. Although, many would have thought it was foul and odd for the opposite twins to be together. However, that’s when you have to do what makes you happy and not care what others thought. Glad Siyanna had a friend in Danny, as well as, the support from her mother in law. Siyanna sure did go through a lot, and Drue was ever so patient with her. Glad they found intimacy and comfort within one another. Drue had his moments too with ones he thought he could trust. In the end, there was the good they deserved.
