Publisher's summary

I live for danger. For excitement. For adventure.

When I end up in an escape pod with Alice, though, my world changes. She's human. Vulnerable. She does NOT love danger, or excitement. But her mind is clever, her retorts sharp, and her smile brings me to my knees. I want nothing more than to keep her safe . . . and keep her at my side.

What does one danger-loving corsair do when he's stranded with a beautiful human female on a jungle planet? I'm about to find out . . .

Contains mature themes.

Better than last book

Hollie’s voice was more appropriate for this character. Mason does a great job. The storyline was interesting and exciting; and the characters were likable and funny. On to the next book!

Space adventures

Another amazing narrated tail of our favorite space pirates. It further explains the Ruby-verse and the delightful characters in it. Enjoy

Don’t eat the worms.

This book is great, it has romance, adventure, sass and alien animals. In my opinion the Brother Corsairs books are better than the original Corsairs, which is good, more to look forward too. But of course my favorite Ruby Dixon stories are the Ice Planet Barbarians and the Icehome series. Ruby Dixon always give me a warm fuzzy feeling, and yet have enough adventure to make the stories fun. Love the narrators.

Jungle Love

“If Kas thinks he’s getting out of my sight again, he’s about to meet the world’s first human barnacle.”

Between the longer book lengths in this series and the setting for this one being in the jungle, I was a little worried things would drag. However, even though Kaspar and Alice are alone together for most of their jungle adventure, there’s plenty of fun and frisky to be had.

Alice: What am I supposed to do now?
Kaspar: Just ditch it, I guess
Alice: Ditch what.
Kaspar: Your tunic? I ditched mine.
Alice: You don’t have breasts
Kaspar: What are these bad boys?
Alice: Two pancakes that don’t flap in the breeze, bad boy!

Yep, with Ruby Dixon’s books, it’s all about the banter.
I tend to go for the ones that have the most humor and action.

If all you want is fated mates with honorable hunky aliens, stick with her Ice Planet Barbarian series.
If you want cleaner environments, less book length, and more nooky, go for her Risdaverse series.
But, if you want some plot and action to go with the romance and the fun, this series is Goldilocks!

It's okay

This series has been kinda disappointing. The male and female leads aren't very interesting, the sexual tension isn't very good, the plot is unengaging, and there's a lot of background characters and action that doesn't make sense unless you've read books from the other series. It's just... okay, I guess.

Unrealistic Whiner

I got tired of Alice's incessant whining. She can't do anything about the situation, but she whines. When Kaspar tells her the facts instead of giving it a moment to sink in, she starts blaming Kaspar and whining that she doesn't get her way. Even though Kaspar is making the best of a bad situation and their choices have been severely limited. They fled one bad situation and ended up in a different situation. Unless they chose to die they had to do what they did. She blames and throws temper tantrums at every turn.

When I read the first book I thought Alice was going to be an awesome strong FL. Instead I got a frightened whiner. What a disappointment.

Did he just....

was it just me or did Kaspar start getting a slightly (terrible) Mexican accent?
