Publisher's summary

One blind date changes everything.

Marie Crenshaw hates nothing more than to disappoint people, especially those she cares about. When she lands herself in a bind having made a promise on behalf of a friend, she finds herself stuck to fulfill the duty herself.

Holden Guffey is having the time of his life. A brother of Delta Omega Gamma. Parties every night. A new girl on his arm each time. He's young and reckless and the last thing he wants is to settle down.

One favor. One simple night of obligation.

That's all it takes to screw up everything they each thought they cherished most. But when they stumble upon a dead guy on campus and land themselves in the middle of a real life mystery with uncertainty surrounding them at every corner, perspectives change.

The one thing they can absolutely agree on—don't promise anything.

Contains mature themes.

Spicy! A super fun and light read

It had a vibe of the early sexy days of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Though the young people here were definitely much better at making life choices than the Buffy crowd. lol The scenes between the two MCs are steamy! I had to make sure i was wearimg my headset!lol The actors felt a little flat on the non sexy scenes sometimes but not enough to remove me from the story. I enjoyed this so much and I am super invested in Holden and Marie now. Kinda wanna know what she's gonna do and how is Holden gonna keep up.

One of my favorites!

I love both Holden and Marie as characters! Neither wants a mate at first but they’re pulled together, make compromises, and are happy with everything at the end. I think Marie’s powers are interesting and love how much Holden’s wolf wants her attention. Great book and definitely worth a listen.

Of course I loved it

I really don’t know how much more gushing I can do over the books written in this world. It’s seeming to get ridiculous at this point. I absolutely love them. They are so fun to listen to while I drive.

Struggled to finish

I didn't hate this one, but I didn't like it either. I didn't care for either of the main characters for half the book. Holden wasn't even remotely likable til the end, and even then, I didn't love his character. I never disliked Marie, but there was never anything relateable about her. It felt like the book was thrown together rather than written on purpose. No development could be felt throughout the story.
