👍🏼 Great Malloren installment

This installment in the Malloren series was fun. It was a little silly in the whole :::possible spoiler::: “You tricked me into getting you pregnant but hey, you’re my woman so it is what it is.” There were some other aspects of the story that annoyed me (the end…you’ll know when you get there) but it’s probably more accurate a truth than a perfect solution with roses and butterflies all wrapped up in a bow. Lol. The secondary characters were enjoyable and for some I look forward to reading their stories.

Susan Duerden is kind of a narrator I struggle with. In this particular book, half of her narrating was fabulous and the characters were definitive. The other half she was droll and slow. I sped the book up to 1.25, which seems to be the speed I go to with all SD books and that helped.

I got this on sale for $2.55 and it was definitely well worth it. Would also have been worth a 2 for 1 sale. I’m super particular about what I spend a whole credit on so for me to say its not worth a whole credit is something you should take with a grain of salt.

Ok.

Not nearly up to the past books in this series. I didn’t really care about either of the main characters. I was ready to finish and get on to the next one.
