Just like the other books this one was excellent, not political even if it deals with racism.

The Chiara Corelli mystery series has gotten better and better with each subsequent book! I loved seeing the character growth as the series went on from both Corelli and Parker. In this one, Parker leads the latest investigation into a murder which points them in the direction of a white supremacist group and a terrorist plot. We see a focus on the hate groups as well as thoughtful discussions on race.

I recommend this entire series to anyone who enjoys a well plotted mystery with strong women and a diverse cast. They are all great books!

Abby Craden as usual does an amazing job with the narration!

I'm seriously hooked on this series and hope more will follow. Great narration as well. I can't argue with a well written and narrated story.

I love this series! The development of the characters Corelli and PJ including their relationship as partners is so well done. The cases are complex and relevant to the times we live in. Top all that off with Abby Craden and you can’t lose. No one reads like Abby. I really hope this series continues with Abby as well.

The crimes she writes about are adapted from the headlines- gruesome realities about child trafficking and in this case white supremacy and its extreme hate.
The characters are women who have heart, passion, and vulnerability. I hope she continues to write this Chiara Chirrelli series for years to come

there's a lot I like about this book I will say this though Abby Creighton once again never disappoints this is my fifth time reading this series it's been a while since I read it so I thought I'd jump into it I started from book one so it took me about 2 months maybe cuz I was doing other stuff so but to finish the entire series I have the the series on audible and it's just never disappoints I think the only book and I think we all of us who's read this series already can agree the hardest book in the series is book 3 book three the message in the blood that's probably the hardest one because of the topic sex trafficking children being trafficking the abuse of children those type of topics those really hard to read but the author has done a really good job with all three books you could read this as a standalone because the cases themselves are closed at the end but there is an ongoing storyline with the undercover group that Corelli ends up arresting the dirty cops so that story technically is still ongoing her deal with a certain mob boss at the end of book 1 is still in play or what she asked him to do at the end of the first book you read it you know who I'm talking about so that's still in play.

so I would say to read the book in order because you are going to miss Corelli's growth Parker's growth the family growing and you'll be confused there's a lot that happens just with those characters alone and not even adding the cases that do kind of connect a little bit because each book picks up or reminds us what happened in the last book and it's just a good series so reading it from the beginning you won't be disappointed and I'll be Abby Creighton is an amazing narrator she's a diamond so like why would you not listen to her all day like seriously.


for those who've not picked up the book I will say that this is not your typical lesbian romance mystery this is police procedure mystery story first romance is a secondary it's like a the love interest in here which is Brett which is Corelli's lover at the moment and PJ is well she has a lot of ladies lined up for her and she has her one yet but I think we've met her in the case that she was that they were working on in here it's a particular scene there was a spark and it was similar to how Corelli met Brett and book one so that who I am going to say mayby PJ's love interest.

but I will have to wait till the next book come out to see if PJ accepts that offer of a date we'll see the saying I'm not going to spoil it too much for those who haven't read it so with that being said the romance is not big is there we acknowledge it the but we won't get Brett's point of view which sucks because I really want to know what the hell Brett be thinking about or just see Brett go through her day but so far we haven't got Brett's point of view just yet so any significant other that will be added to the group for PJ I don't think we're going to get her point of view either the point of view is between Corelli's at least for the three books it has been in Corelli's point of view this particular book was shocked us all is in PJ's point of view so that was really nice to finally get PJ.


so I will leave it with this I f*** with this entire series I f*** with Abby Creighton I want more of the series I need a new book in the series when we do get the new book for everything that is holy audible please don't mess up the narrator keep it as Abby Creighton y'all start really good series with really amazing voices and then y'all give us somebody else to finish off the series so whenever the author blesses us with another book in the series and it comes to audible keep the narrator as Abby freaking Creighton no one else can do this book series other than that I enjoyed my fifth time reading the series.
