Eye opening

This book was very eye opening. As a black woman, I see areas where I must grow and expand my knowledge and practice regarding equity. This book does not simply highlight the importance and need for this shift in knowledge and practice, but gives practical guidance on how to improve.

A must read and implement

One of the best books on higher education that uses data driven research providing concrete examples for implementation of equity based principles addressing inequity in academia.

college and university figured
could apply to k12, but rest would need to be well versed in effective change models and organizations support structures to focus the systemic change within the organization. various scenarios shoe great starts but did not provide impact analysis related to the data that identified inequities

Very quick and good read

I was able to finish this book quickly. It is very actionable and a clear account of the real ways thay educators are unfortunate, but willing examples, of bias in education. It was dense with information and examples

I thought this book was really informative! Just note that if you only listen to the audiobook, the references/citations pages are not read. Only the print copy contains references/citations.
