Everyone loves hockey superstar Pierce Miller. Everyone except Lia Bailey.

When the two are forced to teach a skating class to save the rink, Lia's not sure she'll survive the pressure of Nationals and Pierce's ego. Not only can't he remember her name, he signed her bottle of water like she was one of his groupies. Ugh.

But if there's one thing Lia knows better than figure skating, it's hockey. Hoping to take his ego down a notch - or seven - she logs into his team website under an anonymous name to give him pointers on his less-than-stellar playing.

My first hockey romance and it was so sweet!! I feel like the writing and the story were age appropriate for ya. The story was well developed and had a lovely ending. A quick listen but well worth it!!

I really enjoy hockey romances, and one series I enjoyed the most was by Elle Kennedy.  This reminded me of that type of series however done in YA genre. I thought the storyline was very cute and the way the couple got together was done in an original way, but also still had a couple of well-known tropes to it. This book is kind of the high school version of college hockey romance.

Well written teen love story, romantic and clean though it tackles some weighty life issues with respect and grace (Parental death and Autistic sibling). Narration fit the character's personalities. Nice job

This was such a cute and fun story. I adored Pierce’s relationship with his brother. Both Pierce and Lia were strong characters dealing with crossroads in their lives. Together they became the best versions of themselves.

I live in Michigan, and my husband played hockey right up until he died. This book brought back good memories. I really enjoyed it.

This book was the epitome of ADORABLE.

What I loved most was that it was so authentically YA. We got two really cute teens who are slowly falling for one another - both through direct messages online and in-person. I can't fault this for being short, because honestly it did everything really well for how short it was. One major thing I loved was the anonymous pen pal aspect and how it was kind of twisted a little in that Pierce kind of knew from the beginning. ;) Not really a spoiler because he really does know from the beginning! hahaha. It was so unique and I loved the use of dual pov.

The misunderstanding at the end made perfect sense from both POVs. And their reconciliation also felt right. I liked almost all of this book. I think the only thing that prevents this from being 5 stars is the lasting power. I will probably forget this book eventually, but it's still so cute and I'm glad I listened to this darling book.

I was surprised to love this book so much since I’m older the characters in the story. But, I really enjoyed it. It was sweet and it even made me cry a few times.

I loved the story, characters, and performers. It has got all the misunderstandings that these stories usually use but it seems to work better than normal for this story

It was cute and sweet and a nice change from the steamy stories I normally prefer. Admittedly, I was worn out by the time the misunderstanding took place. Just communicate..geez! Thankfully it was cleared up fairly quickly. Narrators did a great job.
