Publisher's summary

No one can foretell their own death....

Detectives Hannah and Bernard are called to investigate the violent death of Jacqueline Mune. But what seems to be a straightforward case of a shooting in a bad neighborhood turns out to be a lot more complicated. Jacqueline had been a psychic, doing tarot readings and selling mystic medicines and oils. And it seems like everyone around her had a reason to want her dead.

Jacqueline was not able to see her own future in the cards. Now it's up to the detectives to look into the past, and figure out the identity of a killer.

great short story!

Nice novella that occurs in Glenmore Park, covers race relations and gender assumptions as incidental elements of the overall context of the novel's plot - very skillful. The mystery of the murdered fortune teller is quickly solved by the crack team of Detective Hannah and her partner Bernard. This was a tightly developed plot which can be enjoyed in an afternoon. Very well done!

A Brilliant Short Story

I absolutely love all Mike Omer's books. They're funny, well written and narrated by Eric in a way that captures all the humor and seriousness of the books at the same time.
Usually his books are 10+ hours long, so this is definitely a short story. It's well written and the humour is still there. I really enjoyed this as I absolutely love this whole series so much so that I've listened to all his books two times and will continue to relisten to them.
If you're thinking about getting this one, you won't regret it.
Mike, please, make Eric Martin narrate all the Glenmore books please 😍

Super short but surprisingly good

This one was pretty short, but the storyline was worth it! The plot twist was unexpected!

A bit childish

I usually like Mike Omer’s books quite a bit, but this one just felt a bit silly. The narrator took some getting used to as well. His pacing is very weird and distracting. It’s like listening to Christopher Walken. The story is okay, but the dialogue feels like it was written for kids

Yawn! Was there a story in there somewhere?

A meandering pointless narrative. Characters are poorly developed, no drama. Reminds me of the "what I did in my summer vacation" essays on high school.

This is not his best work. I'm glad this was short

This was not what I expected from this author. I was very bored listening to this book.

Disappointment!

The narrator is stilted. Very unappealing. The story was too predictable and rather not ring. I am a fan of Aimee’s work. This feels like he wrote it in high school, pulled it off the shelf. Gave it some more detail so he could put it on Audible and make money. A rip off for sure!!
