Five stars, but I wish it could be ten because I loved every minute of this audiobook and I highly recommend it for fans of steamy fiction. If you haven’t already been introduced to the brilliance of K. Bromberg this audiobook is a great starting point. Rezner and Desi’s relationship gets off to a rocky start because she’s prickly and damaged but I could smell their pheromones from a mile away. Jason Clarke and Emma Wilder did an awesome job of performing K. Bromberg’s captivating story.

I hate making a review so biased towards the narrators, but sometimes they just really make a story come alive. My only (small) issue with the narration is that Emma Wilder’s male voice was huskier than Jason Clarke’s. Still it was a fun audio. The story was a bit lacking, but seeing that this was a novella, I’ll chalk that up with timing.

This was a great little story in the series. I really enjoyed it.
What made it even better were the performances by Jason and Emma. Jason Clarke is one of my favorite narrators. He’s got a great voice and his inflections are spot on. Jason’s work is always flawless. Emma Wilder was new to me and is now one of my favorite narrators. Wow. She’s really good doing the female characters but her male voices are outstanding. I’ll be looking up more of her performances.
K. Bromberg writes a really good “feel good, happy heart” story. This one, although short, doesn’t disappoint. Another ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️!!

Should have had more depth - this was a good story, but no substance … the guy getting caught with no fanfare was such a let down considering the guy she is falling for is SWAT so you fully expect that her alarm system will go off, or the perp will cut the system, but Resner will have installed something else that would clue him to a repeat visit by the stalker and he rescues her and catches the guy. NO CAN DO - just 2 people who can't be honest with each other. A little boring.
