In the city of Eldra, people are ruled by ancient prophecies. For centuries, the high council has stayed in power by virtue of the prophecies of the elder seers. The story has some interesting elements though rather slow. I strongly feel this story borrows heavily from a more well known trilogy though I will not name it. In the end I found the pacing rather slow and the ending felt very dull. I understand that characters are explored through their thoughts and history; but in some cases it felt more a distraction than meaningful. I daresay some of the characters just felt tiresome to me in general.
