Publisher's summary

The antichrist is supposed to rule the world, but Chris kind of told the ghost of his father-in-law he’d rather have the love of his wife. And he’d meant it...at the time.

However, Chris was born with a destiny. He is the prince in waiting. The Destroyer of Nations. A failure with no magic, no armies, and now, no longer even a psychotic mother he can call upon. Is he destined for a mundane life?

Good thing fate has other plans: plans that include him becoming Hell’s king.

King of a listen

This is the 3rd book in Chris and Isobel's story. Chris is just coming into his power , or so he thinks . Everyone in Lucifers family has a special place . Chris finds married life boring. Isobel of course being the wife makes him do some housework that men should do . There is a lot going on this delightfully story , twists turns and some characters that you didn’t see coming, like Isabel's mother .

Tyler did a good work telling this story. His voice is strong and clear

Good ending to this tongue in cheek series

Will things ever turn out right for Satan's son. You'll just have to sit down and read all the fun and silliness.

Christopher is at it again

Hell’s King is the second book in Eve Langlais’ Hell’s Son series. This is the third series set in this world with the really funny Lucifer. The first series is The Princess of Hell, which like this one is a UF series that follows Lucifer’s youngest and favorite daughter, Muriel. The second series is Welcome to Hell, which is a paranormal romance with Lucifer playing matchmaker among his minions. Now, we are back to UF, following Lucifer’s son, Christopher, who is really just coming into the family.

So, in this story Christopher married Isobel, the granddaughter of Rasputin. But now life has gotten a little boring for Christopher. Isobel nags him about taking out the garbage. He’s also not able to raise the dead anymore. He’s mundane (nooooooo!!!!).

So a lot happens in this book. We meet Chris’s mother. We learn more about what’s going on with Chris’s power and how he becomes Hell’s King. We get some time with his older sisters, Muriel and Bambi. We also get to spend some time with Chris’s cousin, Charlie (the name that Jesus is now going by). Charlie is also an arms dealer.

Can’t say anymore because spoilers. I will just say, I don’t know if there is another book coming out in this series, but I’m sure we aren’t done with Christopher, Lucifer or everyone else in this world. Oh, you can read this series without having read the other series, but do start with Lazy Son, book one. You would get more from this, if you were already familiar with this world, but you would still have a good story with just this series. You do really need to experience Lucifer and his fondness of rubber duckies.

Narration
Tyler Donne continues to do a good job with the narration of this series. His male and female voices are good. I do wish he did a little more to bring the humor out in the series. I don’t think his “snark” voice is as good as it could be. But overall, not too bad at all.
