Publisher's summary

All Charlie Payne wants is to lead a normal life and to be a good mom. But Charlie's not exactly normal. She's from a long line of witches, and she can see the dead.

Susan Tate has inherited a beautiful, old southern mansion on the coast. Unfortunately, the property came with a million necessary repairs. And ghosts.

When Charlie meets Susan, the woman is desperate for help. Taking on a spirit who doesn't want to see the light can be dangerous, but ignoring it?

Ignoring the dead can get you killed.

Nice

Easy to listen too, simple but entertaining. Listening to Devils snare right now. Great narrator, kind of addictive.

Just what I was looking for

A ghost story, murder mystery, and a few witches for good measure. I really enjoyed this book. About to purchase number two. I hope there are more to come!

I enjoyed listening to this book.

I liked this book and the narrator was excellent. There were moments when I stopped coloring because I was immersed into the story. My thanks to Wendy Wang and Amy Melissa Bentl7.

An enjoyable, unique 4 1/2 star read

Haunting Charlie: Witches of Palmetto Point Book 1, my first read from author Wendy Wang an author I’d not heard of until I received an email from author Gwendolyn Druyor outlining the challenges that her friend Wendy was facing. Wendy’s husband David is in the hospital. He's been there for a couple of weeks already. Something twisted in his guts and his lungs are not working as they should. There have been incremental improvements, but nobody is telling her he's getting better.
She's scared.
Wendy is going to have to cancel the preorder for her next book. Amazon will not allow her to do another presale for a full year. Presales bring in a lot of money, drive rank up for launch day, and are very important to indie authors. It's going to crush her business.
All that on top of spending the holidays in the ICU, wondering...
Motivated to give a new author a try I went out and got the first four books in this series. The first, a 6-hour 49 minute/284-page psychic suspense mystery was thoroughly enjoyable and I plan to read the next three, one-a-day for the rest of the week. ” I received a free Audible copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. Amy Melissa Bentley’s narration adds to the enjoyment. I look forward to reading more from this author and Wayward Spirits: Witches of Palmetto Point Book 2 is next on my TBR list. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Really good.

I really enjoyed this story. It made me think of the show ghost whisperer. I definitely recommend this.

The narration was robotic

Story was OK. Not a favorite pick but I still enjoyed it. I’m not sure I would recommend it

Good book and Good narrator

I do not usually like women's narrators but Melissa Bentley does an amazing job! I really liked the book as well. I thought the characters were well written and grew as the plot developed. Well, except for the ex-husband. He's just emotionally stunted. I recommend this book.

For a younger audience

This book served my primary purpose of something interesting enough to listen to on my drive to work. It has a pretty good plot line. The writing is geared towards a younger reader and you might find yourself irritated with the juvenile plot twists. I got it as an Audible add-on from Prime reading so I wasn't upset. I don't think it would be worth a credit.
