Publisher's summary

Owen Deathstalker - outlawed, with a price on his head and the blood of a mighty warrior lineage in his veins - had no choice but to embrace a dangerous destiny. With nothing to lose, only he had the courage to take up arms against Queen Lionstone XIV.

Now as he gathers his unlikely allies - the legendary washed-up hero Jack Random, the beautiful pirate Hazel d'Arc, the original Deathstalker long since presumed dead, and the alien Hadenmen whose purposes no human can discern - the eyes of the downtrodden are upon him while the freedom of a galaxy hangs in the balance....

Very little Deathstalker

There is very little Owen Deathstalker, significantly less than the first book.

This is something considering Owen Deathstalker was almost a minor character in the first book. The vast majority of action is centred on other characters.

Overall it’s still an enjoyable book. Just wish the description had been more accurate.

Good story, the reader is beginning to drone on

Enjoyable story, if you enjoyed the first, this will satisfy. However, I am finding that Mr. Jackson's voice is driving me mad. It just keeps droning, on, and on, and on, and on...etc. I kept stopping and skipping just to keep the storyline going. I didn't realize this while listening to book 2, but in book 3 its more obvious.

Fantastic Atmosphere and mind inspiration!!!

This book was very well narrated. The reader was excellent the way he allowed you to see the characters in full 3D color.

Attention Grabber from Imaginative Author

This book was a fantastic read and a great continuation of the Deathstalker Series. I'm looking forward to reading Deathstalker: War, the next book in the series, immediately. Simon R. Green has been a favorite for a decade of my life. He continues to impress me with his imaginative ability. If for the obvious reasons, you decide to start another series by Simon R. Green, Something From The Nightside is a good place to start.

wow this one is bad

I enjoyed the first one, otherwise I wouldn't have bought the second one. I don't now what happened but the second one just feels like an empty bag.

Love these books!

Although there are situations that are very gory, I really enjoy listening to these. The narrator is perfect for this series. There seems to be a lot of unneeded chatter, but you realize it enhances the scene and you’re enthralled yet again.

Older Opera Still Holds Up

I had souch fun reading this when I was a kid. Finding I've had just as much fun reading it again in my 30s was a very pleasant surprise! Colorful, destructive and fun! Great characters and enrapturing world. Good times!

Love this author and this story!

I fell in love with Mr Green’s dark side series and which happily led me to his other works and that is how I ended up with Deathstalker. I love this series! I love it when I find an author that I totally dig only to learn that said author has a metric-shit-ton of awesome work to consume!

I love the overall story progression as well as the character development in this 2nd book.
The voice actor is wonderful and I love the voices he assigns to each character (makes it totally easy to follow!).
I just finished listening to book #2 and I already purchased book 3 and I am totally going to start it as soon as I am done with this review!

I am done!
In to Desthstalker War!

Thank you!
May I please have some more?!
