Publisher's summary

Nicholas Arthur Frederick Edward Pembrook, Crowned Prince of Wessco, aka His Royal Hotness, is wickedly charming, devastatingly handsome, and unabashedly arrogant - hard not to be when people are constantly bowing down to you.

Then, one snowy night in Manhattan, the prince meets a dark-haired beauty who doesn't bow down. Instead she throws a pie in his face.

Nicholas wants to find out if she tastes as good as her pie, and this heir apparent is used to getting what he wants.

Dating a prince isn't what waitress Olivia Hammond ever imagined it would be.

There's a disapproving queen, a wildly inappropriate spare heir, relentless paparazzi, and brutal public scrutiny. While they've traded in horse-drawn carriages for Rolls Royces and haven't chopped anyone's head off lately, the royals are far from accepting of this commoner.

But to Olivia, Nicholas is worth it.

Nicholas grew up with the whole world watching, and now Marriage Watch is in full force. In the end Nicholas has to decide who he is and, more importantly, who he wants to be: a king or the man who gets to love Olivia forever.

A TRUE ADULT FAIRYTALE

The Publisher's Summary is spot on but I'll give a little more detail without spoilers.

Wessco's economy isn't doing well so the Queen tells Nicholas that he's to marry. They agree he has until the end of summer to make the announcement. Then the Queen tells Nicholas he needs to go to Manhattan to attend some functions for her and bring Henry home. Henry, the Spare Heir, has finished serving the required two years in the queens military and is in the U.S. partying way too much.

Nicholas has his best friend Simon go to Manhattan with him along with his security team. He's upset about the marriage arrangement and is out late drunk walking. He goes into the coffee house that Olivia runs and her family owns. Nicholas is smitten with Olivia. The more she banters with him the more smitten he is so he offers her ten thousand dollars to go to bed with him. This is their story......

I adore Emma Chase. I have her Legal Briefs Series and her Tangled Series. I listen to these when I want fun and sexy. This story starts out with the Monarch history and I wasn't sure about it, but Emma Chase has never let me down so I kept listening and the story turned into fun, sexy, drama, suspense and twists. There's hot sex too.

Andi Arndt, one of my favorite female performers and Shane East gave a great performance.

Is it worth the Credit/$$ Absolutely. I enjoyed it so much I listened to it twice in a row.

An Enchanting Swoon Worthy Tale!

Royally Screwed is perfect for the "romantic at heart" who loves a beautifully well written heart-warming story that will captivate, mesmerize and make you swoon. It's a similar to fairy tale plot about handsome prince who goes after the love of his life, and well on it's way to being a classic for future generations.

I remember reading fairytales like Cinderella, Snow White, Rapunzel and many more when I was a little girl. These stories fascinated me and I could easily read them over and over. I still have a piece of that little girl's heart who believes in fairy tales and HEA's and Emma Chase has delivered a beautiful, enchanting, steamy fairytale that not only delivered the HEA that made my heart swoon, but also satisfied the women in me who craves a seductively steamy story that got my heart racing, and made me blush. This was fantastic story, I could easily listen to again and again.

I loved the narrators! Andi Arndt was a great choice for the female POV and Shane East was perfect for the male POV. They both delivered an outstanding performance.

Well worth the time, credit and sale!

Royally Delightful

Emma Chase has done it again. Conventional love story with a sexy steamy British-ish twist. And, Lord have mercy! Shane East is a narration knock-out. The British version of Sebastian York and every bit as yummy. If you're looking for a strong woman character that's not naive and speaks her mind then you'll enjoyed this book. The secondary plot lines with the Prince's brother is good too. Probably Offers a brief glimpse of what their RH's William and Harry had to endure and what American actress Megan Markel is going through now. Hope she ends up with the prince too.

This was a fun enjoyable Rom Com. You know the one... Royalty falls for the ordinary girl but family says he can't be with her kinda story line we've read or watched before but Emma Chase made this one a fun sexy book. I love the narration choice, Andi Arndt is amazing as always and Shane East was perfect for Nick!

Absolute perfection!!!

A new spin on a old fairy tail. This version is even more magical than the original and beautifully combines all the romantic fairy tales from the past and gives them a modern twist... one that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat in nail biting anticipation. Very few authors have had the ability to bring me to tears however Emma Chase has managed to do it time and again. Deep down is a true romantic who has the literary grace to bring down the house. As always, hey choice in narrator's is superb. Andi Arndt has quickly become one of my favorite female narrators and Shane East has quickly risen to the top of my list for favorite male narrators.... together they are pure magic!!!

Overall I say well done.... I'm absolutely on pins and needles in anticipation of the next book... please don't make us wait too long your majesty. 😘

Cinderella is no pushover

Prince of Wessco visits NYC and falls for the waitress. She is different from other females. She's confident and not a pushover for ANY man not even a prince. He pursues her and the whole world takes notice. Emma Chase didn't disappoint! The prince is a dirty talking alpha and this listen has hot scenes. I can't wait for his brother's book this month! I like EC books so it was worth my credit.

Nicholas is My Prince and I'm His Princess

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

100000% Recommended!!!

Andi Arndt and Shane East were just perfect for Olivia and Nicholas. They transmited every single one of their emotions flawlessly-love, passion, anger, dissapointment, relief-, and they also read Emma's words with such conviction like they were written by them.

Andi has a beautiful voice, sweet and sexy, but also strong for when Olivia was being her badass self. Shane has the most amazing and sensual British accent ever!! I wasn't so happy with him for Hardin Scott from the After Series but his smooth voice, his accent, his attitude in this audio is just so perfect for Nicholas.

Both of them made awesome inflections for the secondary characters. Andi's British accent was really great too and Shane's voice for The Queen was so stiff I almost thought it was actually an old woman talking instead of him.

What did you like best about this story?

Nicholas and Olivia's romance!! I fell in love with them at the same time they were falling for each other. Every moment they spent together, every talk, every kiss, every time they made love, everything made me love them more and more with every passing minute <3 Theirs is really a true fairy tale <3

Which scene was your favorite?

So many fav scenes!! I loved when they met for the first time-Go Olivia!!-, I loved when Olivia invited Nicholas to Coney Island, I loved when they told each other things nobody else knew, I loved the shaving scene, I loved the heartbreaking moment with Henry at the hospital. Sighhhhh I could go on, because I LOVED everything about this book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There were two moments, the first one with Olivia telling about the burden with so much responsabilities at such young age-not telling more, spoilers, but I cried twice, the first time I read it and when I listened to it-, and the second with Henry's experience when he was in the military service. He has such a beautiful heart and I can't wait for his book.

Any additional comments?

Royally Screwed is my new #1 book from the amazing Emma Chase. I've loved all her books, and I've obsessed over all the men she has written, and RS and Nicholas are now my new obsession. I loved reading it as much as i loved listening to it. I loved the romance, I had googly eyes-just like Henry kept calling Olivia and Nicholas-every minute I was listening to this story, I cried and laughed and felt all the passion they felt. Royally Screwed is easily one of the books books I've read in my entire life <3

Loved this book!

I'm a romance -a-holic, but was growing tired of the same story content, so I left the genre for a while. My favorite writer, Jill Barnett, hasn't written a book that I either hadn't read or listened to, and no other romance writer lived up to her standards. I've never read anything by Emma Chase, but while this is the first, it certainly won't be the last. Funny, sweet heartbreaking and victorious-everything a romantic story should have. Bravo!

One of the best!

I'm a big Emma Chase fan. I've loved everything she's written and this did not disappoint! This book is everything, the perfect fairytale romance! I literally sighed out loud at the end. I would give it 10 stars if I could. I laughed, teared up and felt all the feels.
I also loved the few minutes with Brent and Kennedy :)
