The holidays are domestic diva Sophie Winston's favorite time of year. But this season, there seem to be more mishaps than mistletoe. First, Horace Scroggins tumbles from a balcony during his office Christmas party. Then, Sophie's neighbor takes a fall from his ladder while decorating his roof with lights. But it's the cookie swap that really starts to make her wonder who's naughty or nice.

Sophie arrives at the annual event with high spirits and 13 dozen chocolate-drizzled gingersnaps. But when an argument erupts and a murder ensues, it becomes clear that the recent string of events is anything but accidental. Now Sophie has to make a list of suspects - and check it twice.

The story was intriguing and kept me guessing. I love that we keep up with Sophie's love life too.
The narration was terrific and had me laughing out loud several times.

Wanted it to go on

This installment had me wanting Christmas to come quick so I can drink and eat all of the recipes. The story seemed off to me, I don't know if it was Wolf and Sophie seeing each other for the first time or so many new characters. I loved the cookie swap and the Griswold Christmas lighting feel. I just wish Wolf wasn't so rude in this book, and I like Alex but he seems not the best for Sophie. I will say each book makes you wanting more, almost like it is a T.V show that you need the next season. I do adore the chemistry between all the main characters and that family feel.

I have enjoyed all of the books in the Diva series but this one is by far my favorite.

This is my favorite book in the series, since the reveal of the murderer took me completely by surprise! These stories are intricately woven, so that I often have to go back and listen to parts a second time to really follow. The only problem I want to point out is there are often too many characters. I’ve learned to a write notes so I can remember who each person is. For me, that is too many characters. This is an Audible 20 Review Sweepstakes Entry
