Abby Knight is the proud owner of her hometown flower shop, but a new low-cost competitor is killing her profits - and a black SUV just rammed her vintage Corvette in a hit-and-run. She's determined to track down the driver, but when the trail turns deadly, the next flower arrangement might be for her own funeral....

I so enjoyed the book and will be listening to the rest of the series.
I always try for books without cussing and this one had some. Hopefully the rest will have limited amount.

Loved it

i picked this book because I enjoyed the Hallmark movies - The Flower Shop Mysteries with Brooke Shields. The movie screen writer should receive flowers daily! The book was a terrible. Wish I could get my book credit back!!!

How did Hallmark turn this book into a great movie

I can deal with youth and naïveté in a main character. It’s harder to deal with one who clearly isn’t overly intelligent. Unfortunately, this main character hit the trifecta and it was really hard to listen to her thought processes without wanting to shake her. She is capricious and hypocritical and sometimes downright juvenile.

But for the fact that the main character was borderline insufferable, the story had potential.

The performer was fine but for a couple of mispronunciations (settee was particularly problematic).

Not Particularly Bright

This book was a disappointment. The lead character, Abby, is immature and impulsive. She makes unrealistic decisions that put her life and others in jeopardy. The love interest is a typical superficial alpha male, Abby can't resist. Abby gets stuck on one suspect and ignores obvious clues. I found myself skipping ahead several times because Collins seemed to get stuck giving long winded descriptions over food or other unimportant distractions. There were lots of red herrings to make the mystery interesting, but it fell flat because of Abby's stupidity. The series has potential so I might check out the next book.

Mediocre
