Publisher's summary

There's a new gang of criminals in town who are organized and ruthless in the extreme. When Eric Becker, along with the rest of the Dallas SWAT team, ends up in the middle of a shootout, he immediately senses werewolves - a lot of them. Turns out the new bad guys are a pack of wolf shifters. In a spray of gunfire, Becker comes face to face with the most gorgeous woman he's ever seen. Becker does the logical thing. He hides her and leaves the scene with the rest of his team.

Jayna Winston has no idea why that SWAT guy helped her, but she's glad that he did. Ever since she and her packmates got mixed up with those Eastern European mobsters, everything had pretty much fallen apart. So what's a street-savvy thief like Jayna going to do with a hot alpha-male wolf who's a police officer?

Slow burn and low growl !!!

"Albanian fever" aside, this installment took some patience and rewarded handsomely with the ending. I love how the relationships intertwine with each new book and the importance of friendship is at the foundation. It also had the emotional intelligence to examine the choice to protect the vulnerable even when there is still affection for the villain.

Love love love!

2021 reread

I love that Becker is obsessed with Yoga pants… I can’t say I blame him. Haha. I loved this book. I’d forgotten just how action-packed this beast was! Gah! #TeamBecker

First, let me thank NetGalley for allowing me a copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review. I also purchased the audiobook because with life being busy I was reading way too slow... I could t put this one down. I'm thinking this one is my favorite of the SWAT series. Don't get me wrong I LOVE them all but Eric and Jayna add something special to their story that makes it all the more intense.

Eric Becker, SWAT team member and all around cool dude gets a rude, well a sexy awakening, when he and the team is on a mission. The moment he lays eyes on a sexy she wolf, Jayna his life changes. He isn't prepared for the jolt he gets at first sight. Instead of arresting her he helps her escape the clutches of his pack. Why? He had no idea, there was just something about the woman that made him want to protect her. The only one that knew of his indiscretion? Cooper. Seems Coop is always in the bad stuff. Lol

These wolves are badass, we all know that but dang... the chaos that they get into is another thing. This is an action packed story but what gets me the most is the internal struggle Eric has. He KNOWS he has to keep her secret and he has to have her. In order to do one he is jeopardizing the other. Talk about being between an alpha and a hard place. Not much I can say as I don't want to ruin the story for anyone but I will say this if you love the series to this point... get ready to be rocked and rolled because I truly think this is the best one yet... It's that good. Then again, I would never expect anythign different from Paige!

Undercover with The One.

What made the experience of listening to In the Company of Wolves the most enjoyable?

Excitement, steam, tenderness, loyalty and more emotions from two packs with totally different members and action, but the same inner workings.

What other book might you compare In the Company of Wolves to and why?

This is the third in a series. Mandy Roth Psi Ops are paranormal and close but pranksters. Powerful and on the side of right even. If their methods might stretch the rules.

Which scene was your favorite?

Several, the climatic battle at the end. Erik's tenderness when they first make love.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Close but it is a long one.

Any additional comments?

Ms Tyler has written an exciting series with characters you care about. The bad guys are clearly bad and the good may cross the line but always with the right goals. I was excited and glued to the story from beginning to end.

everything's that's amazing

I love all the SWAT men in this series... And they are good men... great even. The stories are fun! Action packed, full on romance, steamy smexy scenes, good back stories for characters, good drama/action and a full of fun story line. I enjo6y these stories. But they aren't in depth kristen ashley stories. Lol... But really good just the same. the narrator Abby Craden did amazing! No frog voice like some reviewer said. She was perfect! And perfect for this series. give it a try, it's totally worth it! if you like action/drama/mystery/some comedy/ sexy sexy time/ suspense and a HEA... this is perfect for you

Entertaining, but bad narration

The story is formulaic, but decent enough. I can’t handle much more of the narrator, though. She over-articulates to the point where she has to put a pause between “iced” and “tea” so she can fully articulate the d in “iced.” Ugh!

A bit slower than the first two books

This book started out with a bang, but fizzled out towards the middle. This is the last one I’ll read since the faithful Cooper can’t seem to come anywhere near his “ One”, hum I wonder why.
