This is the second book of the Kings series and sooo good. I love Bree and Alzero’s chemistry which is even stronger in the second book. The secrets and lies along with the twists and turns I definitely never seen the end coming! Beautiful, highly recommend

Where do I begin.....so many little things mades this really cheesy. First of all, let's not glorify domestic abuse, like it's something that "accidentally," just happens & can be forgiven. It's not & it never should be.
If you want a quick, cringy, cheesy stereotypical non-mafia, mafia love story, these books are for you. Nothing too serious & if it wasn't free I most definitely wouldn't have spent a credit on these books.

Great story. wonderful twist too.. loved ever bit of the story. narrorators read the story like they where telling me a story to a friend .. loved this book whole heartedly

Audio/book #2 picked up where book #1 ended. They had a rocky love story but it ended with a HEA. Loved the male narrator’s voice. I am happy that I did continue with the series.

I'm sorry, but Lucy Malone's voice is the whiniest. If not for the terrific voice of Sean Crisden, I wouldn't bother to finish listening. They dual narrate this series, which I like; however, I know to fast forward through her voice over chapters.

For a mafia book there is no really mafia scenes just this back and forth capturing of Bre. Story has so much more potential with more details and depth.

Not my favorite J.L Beck series but definitive a major step up from Book one-faster paced, darker, and way more gripping. Twisted loyalties, brutal truths, and a war that’s just beginning. I hesitated to get this one after book one, but I’m glad I gave this one a chance.

Darker, Bolder and Outshines Book One

I almost forgot to read this 2nd book in the series! Zerro is brutal but tamed by his love and attraction for Bree.... there are lots of twists to the story. This story was better than the first book. I was on vacation and enjoyed the eventual HEA, unrealistic as it is! Not worth a buy .... perhaps a credit, definitely a sale.

I couldn’t clearly understand the storyline because apparently it’s a part two book. Since I don’t have the background and don’t clearly understand what’s going, I really felt like I was only getting half the story so therefore I couldn’t really enjoy it. I appreciate that. It was a free audio book I gave it a little higher rating that I would’ve if just used a credit for it. Perhaps it would’ve been a great book if I’d had be understanding that I needed to read the previous book. But I really hate those that just lead you on and to get the full story you’re spending about $60 more or less to buy 2-3 books.
