Publisher's summary

Art restorer Felicity "Fil" Shaltis can read the magic in auras, but her fascination with a valuable statue her friend Ella Harrow asks her to locate is purely artistic. At least until the fierce stone gargoyle comes to life as a powerful immortal warrior, who promptly saves her from a cultist set on destroying them both. Suddenly "chiseled good looks" takes on a whole new meaning. Spar expected nothing less than one of the seven demons of the Dark to wake him, but instead he finds himself the unlikely savior of a spirited human female. As one of seven Guardians created to vanquish the Darkness, Spar has no time for love, but he can't deny that his destiny is clearly entwined with Fil's. To battle the looming threat to humanity, Spar must first save the woman who summoned him...

Much better than book one . . .

I found that I liked Fil and Spar much more. I laughed more. I was captivated more. I was just drawn in more by their story. The demon mark. The various attacks on Fil. Her determination to defend. Her determination to be alone, even for a moment. Her determination to love Spar and let him go. She was a hardheaded female. But I liked her for her strength and determination.

Laurel Wilson need to work on consistency with the male and female. At some points in the audio the males began to sound like females.

Her laugh

There’s parts in the book that catch your attention and she laughed quite a few times the narrator did while she was reading the stories or should I say giggled it wasn’t a full out laugh I think that’s why I rated it so high those when parts that hold your attention was relaxing
However I don’t think she did a good job on the main character male he should’ve had more input in the story

Bring on the rest

I listened to the first two of the series on the Romance package and seriously hope the rest of the series makes its way onto Audible. There are very few gargoyle genre stories and most of those are cheesily written and/or poorly narrated. I have a collection of over 2500 books plus the romance package and I rarely post reviews. I highly recommend and am looking forward to Wynn’s story soon.

Great read..

Any additional comments?

I don't think I liked this as much as I did the first one but I still really liked it. I did get tired of Fil (what a horrible name) Felicity pushing Spar away and then changing her mind and seducing him only to push him away again. That was a little irritating. Authors think that makes a heroine look strong but it actually makes her look like an idiot, like she doesn't know what the hell she wants.
I liked Spar much more than I liked Felicity, just like I preferred Kees over Ella, in Heart of Stone.
Overall, It was a good story with some good sex and I will definitely buy the next book.

As for the narrator: She did an excellent job. She sighed when the book called for it, as well as laughed and yelled. AND the men sounded like men.

Good theme; too many silly side comments

The silly little witticisms were out of reality and annoying. Can’t tolerate them enough to continue with the series.
Need a better male voice.

Good Read

This is the story of Spar the gargoyle and Felicity also known as Phil. They are still fighting the demons and evil humans of The Order. Character from the first book make several appearances in this book. I recommend you read the books in order.

Good Storyline !

Good Immortals storyline...I just wish the female leads were less abrasive and harsh especially in the beginning when the Gargoyles were nothing but polite to them. Also the name calling was off putting I guess it’s supposed to be funny if so I didn’t get the jokes. Anyhoo this the only complaint I have about book 1 and 2. The actual storylines are awesome !

Good read!!

I enjoyed the storyline as well as the narration, Warren has always been one of my favorite authors. The narration was pretty good, a good dialogue and distinction between characters. There was one little part where it appeared the narrator lost her place or it wasn't edited correctly, but she repeated a part if the book. Again, overall I enjoyed it very much.

Whose Next

An entertaining audiobook that continues a new series I discovered. I like the story overall but wish it was a dual narration. The plot has thickened and the series is getting to the point where I can’t wait to see who wakes a Guardian next.

Second book was even more romantic, passionate,

It was totally sexy, will definitely read the third book.
I'm love with all the gargoyles. I felt as if the gargoyles were speaking to me. Definitely worth the credits.
