Welcome to Glacier Country! Luthor Devlin and his ranch hands were out tracking 20th-century rustlers when they stepped into a time warp! There on the jagged cliffs was a woolly mammoth, a sabre-toothed tiger, and a tawny, near-naked savage. She was a primal fantasy come true - that left him stunned!

His gaze locked onto hers. "I'd really appreciate an explanation of all this. You, the hairy elephant, and the cat with the overbite are not the norm in Montana. And I know you can understand my every word. So anytime you'd like to begin."

Her relaxed appraisal hadn't gone unnoticed by either the man or the large tiger. The latter proved her undoing. His mouth opened not to snarl again but to emit a long, loud, kittenish yawn. The tiger rolled over, rubbed his back and shoulders into the ground, his hind legs spread-eagle, yawned again, and pawed sleepily at his face. To the amazement of everyone, his sword-like teeth fell out.

"Damn it, Pumpkin, why couldn't you have just growled!" She extended her hand. "Cam Stirling, action technician." At his confused expression, she sighed. "Stunt woman."

She was wild, irresistible - and he was the man to tame her. She dared the devil every day - why not Luthor Devlin!

What made the experience of listening to Dare the Devil the most enjoyable?

It was more like listening to a movie than a book . . . a refreshing change. The extra audio experience truly made the novel come even more to life. The characters were extraordinarily voiced and all in all it was a joy to listen to . . . although I do admit at times I had to turn it off while I was driving . . . some of those scenes are not meant to be listenied to while in traffic . . that is unless you want to explain to a traffic officer why you suddenly were speeding!!!

What did you like best about this story?

The discovery that there was more to Luthor than what you would expect - the secondary story, something that Miss Chase is very apt at completing, rounded out the story making it a full dinner and not just the bare appetizer.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Lufhor and his crew first spot Cam on the ridge and think that they have traveled back in time Although when he sees her performing her stunts and his heart just about comes out his throat I found charming and endearing.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I found myself lauging at the conceptions and misconceptons that Luthor had and also the way Cam discovers that there are really, careing men out there who are willing to bare their heart and soul.

Any additional comments?

I thought that the extra time and effort that Destiny Landon and Lee James showed their mark as professionals who gave a lot of time and effort into this project. They made the book even more enjoyable and it was obvious to me that they both enjoyed the book and I would certainly look for other books that they have worked on!

They don't make cowboys like this any longer!

I should start off by saying that I was gifted this book by the author. That said all it meant was when I ended up not finishing the audiobook I went ahead and bought a copy of the ebook so I could finish the book. I'm believe that everyone's taste in narrators is different, as is everyone's taste in books. I tend to be fairly picky in my tastes of narrators and I tend to prefer one narrator to read the entire book. So this book started with a disadvantage in my eyes (male & female voices). But what caused me to finally stop listening in frustration was I felt like the two readers were competing to see how fast they could read - almost to the point of stepping on each other's lines.

So as I say I finished the book by reading it. It's a nice little romance that reminds me of the days when I read serial romances. The sex was fairly tame and there is a Happy Ever After feeling. All in all I would recommend it for someone who likes light contemporary romance.

A nice romance

I thought it was a cute story. Cam is a stunt woman and Thor is attracted to her right away, but he has a problem with how dangerous her job is. He really struggles with that, wanting to protect her. Cam is a strong woman who can take care of herself and makes no apologies about it. If he has a problem with it, then it is his problem. She is very patient with him, though, while he tries to get a grip. The story has lots of humor and plenty of steam.

The audio has two narrators, which is nice to differentiate between the male and female characters and points of view. The male narrator in particular is very good at voicing different characters. Both had moments where they sounded a bit stilted, but overall it was very well done. There is music between chapters which is nice, but personally I don't find it necessary. Music and sound effects during the story tend to distract me a bit, but that is a personal preference, and it was only one scene. Overall a very enjoyable listen.

Fun romance

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. I loved the quality of this audiobook. It has two narrators and musical interludes. It was definitely a performance worth listening to.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Dare the Devil?

*spoiler alert* The beginning of the book threw me to start off with. The narration was so descriptive that I could imagine being back in time with saber tooth tigers and warrior maidens. Then when the tigers fake teeth fell out and it became apparent that the characters had trespassed onto a film set, I laughed.

What does Destiny Landon and Lee James bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I had never listened to a book with male and female narrators before. I enjoyed it. You certainly were never in any doubt as to who was talking in the story

Great Quality Production
