For three years, Alexandria has lived among mortals - pretending to be like them and trying to forget the duty she'd been trained to fulfill as a child of a mortal and a demigod. At seventeen, she's pretty much accepted that she's a freak by mortal standards…and that she'll never be prepared for that duty.
According to her mother, that's a good thing.
But as every descendant of the gods knows, Fate has a way of rearing her ugly head. A horrifying attack forces Alex to flee Miami and try to find her way back to the very place her mother had warned her she should never return - the Covenant. Every step that brings her closer to safety is one more step toward death...because she's being hunted by the very creatures she'd once trained to kill.
The daimons have found her.

"Must Read!"
Great intro into the series. The series only gets better. I can't wait till the whole series is in audio format. Narration was awesome and did not disapoint. Alexandria, "Alex", is KICK BUTT, snarky and hilarious. Which in this first book you get only a taste of it. And even with a small intro to Aiden St. Delphi, you need to know, he gets hotter and sexier as the series goes on. Author, Jennifer L. Armentrout ROCKS!
"If you love vampire academy you'll love this!!!!"
It's very well performed and there's soo much action and forbidden love
It was just amazing!
Nothing
A book to read! I hope the full series gets on audible!
"Great Intro to the Covenant Series"
The narrator did a brilliant job bringing Armentrout's novella to life--I've read it several times in print and e-book at Spencer Hill Press, and this is a masterful reading!
"Love in my world usually ended up with someone hearing 'I smite thee!' as she was cursed to be some lame flower for the rest of her life."
"Very Familiar"
Hmmm...Reminds me of something... Anyone?
Okay so it is exactly the same as vampire academy but what can I say. I loved it. She probably should be sued for this but I look at it as a rapper or a country singer taking from a good old blues song. If it ain't broke don't get mad when they rip you off. lol
In all the prequel is very important to read prior to the series. This novella tells you more about the character's mom and how she was. She was more than the average pure. She really did love her daughter. So it is a good book to start with. However I hate the fact the company only has this novella. How lame is that. So you are excited about a series and then they just leave it there. sigh. Nevertheless I am sure once they put up the rest, the review will be mixed. Die hard vamp academy fans will be pissed. I am a little. But it is so hard to find books that have the myth and combat in it along with the other details we enoy so much that I had to bite and I say the series is worth the few bucks on kindle. Yet I am sure it will not be worth the 20 bucks they will undoubtedly price this series.
We shall see.
