"HAS ANYBODY GOT A TIME MACHINE I CAN BORROW???"
Give me a hunky handsome Highland Warrior from the 17th Century, clad him in a kilt (or even troos), give him a Quest, add some other great characters, throw in a love interest and I'm oh soooo happy for 10 hours.
This was the last in a great series (boo hooo) so suggestions Ms. Quinn - how about Children of the Forest, Glen, Mountains, Loch, Sea, Sky..... well anyway you get it PLEASE can we have some more.
This could be a stand alone listen (as could all in the series) but why deprive yourself, if you haven't already listened to book 1, start there sit back and enjoy.

"Highland Romance Worth A Credit"
I have listen to all the books in this series (The Children of the Mist Series) but this is my first purchase in the series from Audible. My only regret is that I did not purchase the first three in this series from Audible so that I could listen to the stories again and again. This 4th installment was a charming addition to the series. I was really rooting for the couple. The story line was interesting and held my attention. What else can I say, I love the romance aspect and I am going to purchase the first three in the series. I can't wait for book #5 to come out. WOW, I just love these Highlanders, it's like being transported back in time and what's not to love about a sexy Highlander. This particuar story really touched my heart becasue of the female character and her little boy. It's the dynamics between this woman, little boy and the Highlander that will really have you falling in love with this particular Highlander. I just love a good romance!!!!

"Paula Quinn does it again!! Another Great Story!!"
I can not say enough that I LOVE THIS SERIES!!! Each book can stand alone, but better all together. This story of Colin & Gillian is wonderful and even better than I expected.

"Slow but Delightful"
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?The progression of this book was slow in the beginning, but by the second part of the book it picked up some steam and was enjoyable. I liked the book and would listen to this again.
Liked the characters, even the "bad guy" in the book.
Looking forward to any future books by this author.
What three words best describe Carrington MacDuffie’s performance?The narrator was good, would listen to another book she narrates.

"I want to go to Skye!!"
Another great highlander romance by Paula Quinn with a fascinating plot that includes many historical references about the war between Catholics and Protestants. The romance develops slowly and it starts getting hot in the last two hours of listening but it is still pretty intense.
Narration: by now I love Carrington MacDuffie. She makes those sexy highlander sound delicious. And her portrayal of little Edmund was perfect! I'd definitely listen to more books by this author and/or narrator. Highly recommended!0 of 0 people found this review helpful -

Where does Conquered by a Highlander rank among all the audiobooks you???ve listened to so far?I really like this series. Who does not like a Highlander Hunk!
What did you like best about this story?Strugggle Colin went thru between love and country.
