"Good story very credit worthy."
I love Michele Hauf's books and this one is no exception. It had a good storyline - Ridge an Alpha Shifter went to Las Vegas, saved Abigail, a witch, from burning at the stake, they celebrated by getting drunk and ended up getting married by Elvis. Unfortunately, he accidentally shifts into a wolf while consummating the marriage and she freaks out by blasting up the electrical appliances and wounding him in the process.
They don't speak for 12 years then he wants to find a new wife to increase the pack numbers which is dwindling so he finds Abigail to get a divorce. However, she's just received a phone call saying that her 13 year old son has been kidnapped and so she asks for his help in return for a divorce. Love is rekindled during the struggle to get her son back as they learn to trust each other again and some questions are answered.
Good romantic story with action between wolves, vampires and witches. Not a wasted credit.
"Dont waste your time"
The story is awful. It's repetitive, there is almost no action. When there is a fight it's glossed over and summed up so that you can't even worry about what's happening to the main characters, because you have no doubt they will make it. It's boring. And it's predictable, obviously the child is his too. He is too dumb to even figure that out, and she keeps it a secret from him. The conversations are corny uninteresting. They just have the same conversation over and over in different ways. Ugh. I'm disgusted with it. If I had to hear that she was a bad witch one more time. I haven't finished the book. Maybe it gets better by the end. But I doubt it. Oh and also. He goes back and for between saying she did geld him and she nearly gelded him. Maybe the author should make up her mind.
"Awful"
This is one of the slowest moving stories I have every listened to. It seemed like the author is filling in events and giving detail when it isn't necessary. This is one of the weakest books I have ever listened to. If I were reading the book I wouldn't have read it past the first three pages.
The action is poor. The story is boring. There are really no surprises you know where the story is going.
She didn't add any to the book. The book wasn't interesting.
Disappointment, I just felt the story dragged on and on.
The characters are weak. The story is stale. I regret any money I spent on the book.
"Did Not Want It To End!"
The best! I was hanging on every word. I felt like I was right there in some of the scenes because it was so vivid and captivating.
The flow.
I actually loved how so did all.
Both reactions. I immediately looked for other books
I've always been a avid reader so now I'm a avid listener. I prefer the paranormal genre but I do like to switch things up. It's boring if you don't have variety. Of course I do love the romance and the hotter the better. Also, you can't beat a good thriller filled with suspense and a ending you can't even guess at until the very end.
"OK listen"
This was Ok for me. It wasn't boring but it wasn't outstanding either. It would be a good one to get if it's on sale. I'd save my credit for something better.

"Loved the premise, hated the execution"
The reviews convinced me to try out this author - and the synopsis cinched it for me. I loved the idea: kidnapped child, desperate mother forced to ask her ex to aid in the rescue. But in listening, I quickly grew impatient while the hero and heroine had romantic, charming moments - too many moments - where the child was not on anybody's mind except mine. Made it through several hours, but finally gave up. Couldn't even finish this book.
"I tried, I really tried..."
No real story here. Maybe a plot with some events that grab my interest, characters that make me care what happens to them. It was just the two of them for the part of the story I was able to get through, and they were really boring.
Written a better, more interesting story.
It was flat, dull. Could be the writing, not much there for her to work with.
No. I was hoping that her son would bring some chemistry, but I never even made it that far. Too much work trying to slog through this story.
I don't understand how some customers rated this so highly. I'm confused.
A thick lawn, running water, and a tree to sit under. That's close to heaven!
"A WITCH DOESN'T HAVE TO BE ALL BAD!!"
I would say that this book is in the tome ten of the audiobook I've listened too.
When the werewolf finds out he has a son on the edge of puberty that he had no idea even existed
When Ridge shows up with Divorce Papers for his wife to sign after 13 years and her the son he didn't even know she had, has been kidnapped.
O,Yeah
"I Could Not Finish"
More action and excitement. I kept trying to listen but got bored every few minutes.
That this so-called mother kept wanting to have sex with Ridge with the clock ticking on her son's life. Really? He was awfully easy for Mom to forget.
The voices sounded so similar they were hard to distinguish.
About 6 hours at the end of the book. Maybe this would have been better as a short story.
I haven't finished this book. After repeated tries, I get bored every time. But I think I will skip the next 4 hours of the book and listen to the last 30 minutes. I seriously doubt I will miss anything important. I'm already guessing the kidnapper is her ex who tried to burn her at the stake, the boy is Ridge's son, he's perfectly capable of fathering children, and the witch really isn't "bad" at all (except that she forgets her kidnapped son to have sex with Ridge).
Like the romance, but love the action involved to get there!
"Very nice!"
Ahhhh, what a nice surprise. I was afraid all the vampire/witch/werewolf talk would make for a confusing universe but there really wasn't a lot of back story mixed in about them. This is the story of a drunken night in Vegas with an Elvis officiant resulting in a barely remembered marriage...fast forward 13 years and when the male lead tries to get divorced papers signed he realizes something is wrong. His estranged wife of 13 years is in a panic because her 12 year old son has been kidnapped. He knew the math added up, but also that she was in a relationship when they wed...is this his kid they are going after, if it was he would move heaven and earth to save that child, but is he his? For that matter, is SHE his?
Nice story, good characters, fast paced, I really liked it.
