Tired of listening to stories about humans? Consider the werewolf! Taking various forms over the course of centuries and mythologies, often as flesh-devourers, werewolves now commonly appear in fantasy and romance novels as shape-shifters. The shape-shifting element in werewolves' stories has almost humanized them, depicting the internal struggles we all face within ourselves, on some level or another.

I enjoyed the first two books in this series but this one was hard to get through. I really tried to like Brenna the MC, especially considering all that she had been through, but she just came across as annoying to me. I found her behavior spoiled and childish. The storyline was good and I thought the narrator did a good job. I am a fan of the author and love the diversity of her characters. I will continue to read her other books.

The story was good but...

Angela does a great job of storytelling but the voices are beginning to blend. At times I couldn't tell who was talking. Especially when it went from one scene to another. For example..... Brenna was talking to Judd then it switched to a different scene with Faith talking and it took until a name was mentioned to realize the scene switched.
The story is absolutely amazing though!

Good story

Well, for these two it was a fascinating way of them meeting without knowing that faith had made it possible for them. They have also known to be the very change that both races needed for things that are already in motion to start moving to the next level. Things are set in motion that will no longer be stopping now that the change has begun. Faith NightStar and Vaughn have taken this time and their time and making fully complete use of their opportunity. In the end, they have found love, peace of mind, joy, and choosing the best for them. Leaving all behind to follow their heart, to share each other’s lives together.

This love story was so intense that I got shivers. The need between the main characters was so thick and obvious and subtle and sweet and sexy and just everything. I could tell there was a connection before the characters realized it, but it was so subtle that I didn't feel like they were just being thrown together for no reason. Every scene was important. Nothing was wasted and that's what I love most about Nalini Singh's work. Her books are so well developed, and the characters are constantly evolving and growing together. In this one in particular. The main characters where so different that at first I was wondering how she would make it work, but midway through the book it was obvious that they were meant for one another. I've read all of the novels in this series so far and this one is by far my favorite.

Really intense
