Brenna, a she-wolf Psy, was abducted by a serial killer - and returned a monster. The only person who can help her is Judd, a telekinetic and Council defector. But the passion burning between them could push them both over the edge of sanity in the third installment in Singh's breathtaking Psy-Changeling series.
Mind over matter: listen to more in the Psy-Changeling series.

"Favorite of the series so far!"
Rowr! Okay, this one is my favorite book in the series so far. I've pretty much liked them all, but this one was extra hot!
"Really intense"
This love story was so intense that I got shivers. The need between the main characters was so thick and obvious and subtle and sweet and sexy and just everything. I could tell there was a connection before the characters realized it, but it was so subtle that I didn't feel like they were just being thrown together for no reason. Every scene was important. Nothing was wasted and that's what I love most about Nalini Singh's work. Her books are so well developed, and the characters are constantly evolving and growing together. In this one in particular. The main characters where so different that at first I was wondering how she would make it work, but midway through the book it was obvious that they were meant for one another. I've read all of the novels in this series so far and this one is by far my favorite.
I love to read but with my busy schedule I barely get a chance to. However, audiobooks allow me to "read" while I manage my crazy life.
"A must read for PNR fans!"
This is one of my all time favorite series and of this series this is one of two of my favorite books.
We first meet Judd and Brenna in the first novel. Brenna is recovering from the ordeal of being a victim of a serial killer and Judd is trying to fit into a world that is not his own. Judd was instrumental in rescuing Brenna and has been a huge help in her efforts to emotionally recover. Brenna is attracted to Judd and Judd feels the same way except his psy-lineage hinders his understanding of the emotion. I love the overarching story, the world that Singh has created and the all out revolution that is about to take place at the time this novel is set.
The love story is amazing. I love how Brenna fights for Judd and how her love changes him for the better and allows him to see past his heritage and to the man that he truly is.
This is a must read series for PNR and I would suggest starting from the first book in order to fully grasp what is happening in this book.
Narrator: Angela Dawe
Performance: 5/5
Great performance, the reading of both male and female characters and all characters are distinct and her intonation is spot on.
I enjoy reading series and very rarely read stand alone series. I mostly read romance and sci-fi & fantasy.
"He's not an iceman"
This is the first story where the main character is a psy male. It gives a different perspective to those who have defected from the net. Even though it was harder for him to break silence he did it for his mate.
When Judd didn't stand up for Brenna at the cabin and she was mad at him. He had no idea that he was suppose to support her no matter what. It goes to show that even in the future that men are still as clueless to women's needs as they are now a days.
It made me laugh. The fact that Judd didn't know how to react to Brenna and, Brenna's brother's reactions to Judd just had me rolling around laughing till my sides hurt.
I am married with a teenage son and run my own business. As I am visually impaired, audio books are my life.
"Couldn't listen to it all"
I've listened to most of Nalini Singhs novels and have always enjoyed them, however this one was the worst one of hers I've come across. So much so that I couldn't finish the novel. Give it a miss
"Loved it!"
I love this entire series and this one in particular. It has a great mix of romance (including steamy sex scenes) and action, just as all the books in the series do. The narrator does a really good job with this one. My only complaint about Nalini Singh is that she has the weirdest chapter breaks. Rather than stopping the chapter at the end of a scene, she does it right in the middle, for no reason I can discern. But that's minor.
"5 STAR!!"
The series continues and keeps getting better!!! Well worth the credit and if you haven't read any from Nalini Singh - take the leap, you won't be disappointed! I liked that although this one is still linked to the continuing battle with the psy counsel, you learned more about the different changeling packs. Jed and Brenna are both stubborn and when they finally give in to each other it definitely creates fireworks in the bedroom. Love it!! I beg that you keep adding the rest of this series!!!
"Don't you love the strong silent type"
I love the strength of the heroine and the hero. They are indeed well matched.
I am a big fan of Judd. He knows he is strong but doesn't try to assert himself and tries to just stay in the shadows. Yet do not test him because he will deal with you swiftly if he chooses.
She did all the characters very well. You will be able to distinguish each character which is appreciated.
Yes, and I've listened to it several times.
Judd is a strong character, he is anti-social but you will love this man because at least you know when he does talk he actually makes sense. Breanna is a strong young lady who is a survivor but knows that she needs someone to lean on and she doesn't waste any time making that clear. You'll see characters from previously stories if you've listened to the first couple of books. As previously recommended try to listen to them in order. I believe you will be pleasantly surprised.
"Slow Burn"
I liked the way this book slowly built up the romance. The characters were well developed and it was nice to see the characters from the previous book play a part in this one, even though this one dealt with a different pack. I like the varieties in the different forms of psy abilities and it was interesting to learn a bit more about the conditioning done with silence. I'm looking forward to listening to the next book. Angela Dawe as the narrator was very good.
"One of my Favorite Stories!!!"
This is one of the stories I can listen to again and again. This story is about being brave and fighting to come back from a horrible trauma. Judd is Psy and Brenna is a changling, they learn how to love each other.
