It-girl Betty White delivers a hilarious, slyly profound take on love, life, celebrity, and everything in between.
Drawing from a lifetime of lessons learned, seven-time Emmy winner Betty White's wit and wisdom take center stage as she tackles topics like friendship, romantic love, aging, television, fans, love for animals, and the brave new world of celebrity. If You Ask Me mixes her thoughtful observations with humorous stories from a seven- decade career in Hollywood. Longtime fans and new fans alike will relish Betty's candid take on everything from her rumored crush on Robert Redford (true) to her beauty regimen ("I have no idea what color my hair is and I never intend to find out") to the Facebook campaign that helped persuade her to host Saturday Night Live despite her having declined the hosting job three times already.
Featuring all-new material, with a focus on the past 15 years of her life, If You Ask Me is funny, sweet, and to the point - just like Betty White.

"A delightful visit"
I had seen Betty White off and on over the years, and didn't expect to see her working at her age. She's very active mentally and physically, and has a warm and funny take on life. This book, which is read by her, talks about her movie and TV experiences, thoughts about growing older, childhood, and work with animals. The book is a bit short, but it makes for a pleasant couple of hours. I felt like I had had a nice visit with a classy lady.
"I'd ask Betty!"
Betty White is almost 70 years older than I am and I think that's pretty good evidence that she's timeless. The book is wonderful, charming, funny, and her performance completely makes it.

"Nice For Fans"
A very short yet entertaining book, it’s basically just some random neural firings from Betty White.
If you’re a fan (like me) you’ll enjoy it. I especially like any tid-bits referring to “The Golden Girls” which is my all time favourite TV show.
If you aren’t a fan, don’t bother.
"After 6 books she has nothing left to say"
I got it because I heard her in interviews and thought she was hilarious. This book is not funny nor interesting. I didn't finish it.
"Cute story"
This is an enjoyable entertaining read, a perfect showcase for the charming Betty White
This book is a perfect "listen". I would recommend this book as one to listen to, not necessarily to read.
No ....No one
Light, fluffy listen. No one but Betty should "read" her own books for the audible audience. Remarkable and talented lady.

"Sensible Life Advice With Humor"
I would listen to this book again because it was such a pleasure and there is so much practical advice in it that I'm sure it's quite impossible for me to have gotten all the gems of wisdom in the first listening.
When Betty speaks about her time on the Golden Girls.
Betty White, of course, is always herself.
Practical life advice from a grand old dame.
If you're down about ageing, listen to this book and see if you can't see things from a more positive perspective.

"Vintage Betty White!!!"
Yes, as if she was talking only to you. I love the format in which she states a single topic and then gives her take on it.
The whole Saturday Night Live experience. I also love how polite she is, really classy!

Great no-pressure listen, only two hours in length. A true American Icon!!!
"Will make you smile"
Random thoughts bounce you back and forth in time and places of Betty White. How Betty approaches work and her passions in life is what this book is about. Wish this book was more in depth, but that being said, can't help but to love Betty.
"Can Betty Be My Gramma?"
Upper middle. It was just a fun easy listening book.
Sure. Who doesn't love Betty White? And who doesn't love hearing stories from our more seasoned citizens!
No
Her love for Allen Ludden is very touching, but I replayed the chapter about Coco over and over, getting emotional each time. I've repeated the story to many friends. Her love of animals is wonderful. I wish I were in her position so I could experience some of her animal encounters.
Betty White is someone all of us can learn something from and enjoy spending time with...even if it's only through an audiobook.

"Classic Betty"
I love the way Betty tells her stories. She talks about things anyone can relate to and laugh at the jokes again and again.
Where Betty talks about her age and the things she finds funny about them.
"Betty at her best."
