Having garnered three RITA Awards, New York Times best-selling author Jodi Thomas is one of several Texans inducted into the RWA Hall of Fame. Assuming someone else’s identity, a 16-year-old flees to Harmony, Texas. There she keeps her distance from the welcoming townsfolk. But when prairie fires threaten the small town, she learns the true meaning of family, friendship, and home.

"My Home Town"
Yes. Jodi makes her characters seem like family and friends. it's hard not to love them!
Reagan. She's a very strong young woman
"Great Story"
What I like best about the story is all the different stories that are going on at the same time. You have the love story between the Sheriff and the Fire Chief; the friendship between the undertaker and a women he meet on a rainy night, the talk by emails every night. Then there is Reagan's story, how is she going to find her place in this little town that she ententes to call her own.
Julia Gibson's performance is great in this book. She make the characters come to life.
This book is great, you get to know a little bit about what is going on in this little town called Harmony. Finding out that there is not much Harmony in the town and the towns name is a joke between the towns people. You laugh with the problems that Reagan gets herself in too. Cry for what happens to the Sheriff's little bother. And you set on the edge of your set through out the book to see what is going to happen next in this little town.
