Shades of Midnight: The Midnight Breed, Book 7

This book (and series) is great!! I love how Lara Adrian builds interesting twist and turns within her plots, while keeping the complex storyline easy to follow. She also hits the mark on keeping the passion levels high in the romance department and holds your interest from start to finish.

Although I would recommend starting this series from the beginning (Kiss of Midnight), enough of the background storyline is written in for any new readers.

Good plot, good characters, good narrator! Great sex scenes, but be warned they are explicit!

Shades of Midnight is one of the strongest books in the Midnight Breed series. Plenty of action and a really interesting subplot involving Kade's family. The pace of this book was perfect and at the end, there was a bit of a cliff-hanger and plenty of material for future books.

Possible spoilers! I enjoyed this story, but I've got to say, the heroine sometimes stunned me with her lack of survival instinct. Like when she chases a naked, bloody, man she thinks is Cade through the woods, even knowing what he is. Even worse, when she's in the sheriff's home and accuses him of being a drug supplier. She says all sorts of stuff to him, then is shocked when he tries to shoot her! Despite that, I still liked the story and the narrator did an adequate job. I would have preferred it if Cade's voice had been a bit lower.

I also love Lara Adrian's books. I enjoy the suspense, romance and the twist and turns within her plots from start to finish. I am hoping the next book will be about my favorite characters, Sterlin Chase. I am hoping next book will be based on this breed warrior.

I love the Midnight Breed series. I started the books years ago when Amazon offered book 1 for free. My hubs and I have been addicted ever since. The series is an easy crossover book as it combines dark action, romance, and mystery. This is Kade’s story, one of the newer recruits to the warriors. I had often wondered what would happen if the victims of a rouge attacked survived and weren’t wiped…well this is the story. I could say this is one of my favorites… but to be honest, they are all my favorites and I’ve listened to and read these a number of times. I am anxiously awaiting the next one out in Feb 2013. **I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone under 18. It is very graphic in both language and content**

I like this series but the herorine in this book is as annoying as nails on a chaulkboard. Too bad she didn't get drained in the end but you can't have everything.

I really like The Midnight Breed series by Lara Adrian. This one is really good because of the action and story line. If you like Vampire stories this is a series for you to try.

The Action, adventure and the romance weaved throughtout the whole story.

Yes I have listened to many of Hillary Huber's performances. I like her passion she puts into the story and the way you can tell which person is speeking.

I love all the Breed Stories thus far. Lara Adrian does an excellent job of telling her story. The heroine in this story bothered me some, she was somewhat flighty, especially when dealing with the sheriff and her knowledge of what he was doing. Also chasing a guy who was running with a wolf pack. Not smart at all. A good story though.

I am a reader and a Librarian--Personally I find all of Karen Marie Monings books an escape that I look forward to reading. I fly through each book only wishing it wouldn't end. Her books have a balance of plot, character development, adventure, action, and sex to keep you interested and wanting more. Excellent!
