although I feel like this book might be difficult to understand if you haven't been submerged in queer culture of any of the major metros in the US, ie, san francisco, for instance, I think the above average sophisticate can take much meaningful insight from it. I highly recommend going audiobook on this one.

"Sexual suppression and liberation in America"
What did you love best about The Sexual State of the Union?Ultimately, this book looks at how far have we come in terms of understanding sex as a society, and asks the question, why is America still blaming and shaming when we know that those who point the finger are just as deviant as those they ridicule?

Have you listened to any of Susie Bright’s other performances before? How does this one compare?She doesn't laught outloud all the time like she does on her radio show. The book is very well toned and easy to listen to.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?This book is more about self discovery through listending to another person's experiences and point of view. As with any self discovery, it would be difficult to do it all at once. Plus 6 hours is a really long time.
