"Great Book"
This book is one of Christine's best stories, the love between Mari & Ken is different from all other stories their love is unique and strong. Strongly recommended.
"Deadly Game"
I love the all these books with the ghost walkers. I wish you had all of the ghost walkers books on tape. Deadly Game was wonderful. Can't wait to see if they get Dr. Whittney.
Addicted to audio books, I average 6 to 7 per month. I am never without my IPod even when I sleep LOL! Favorite author Lisa Gardner
"Disappointing"
It is really nice to have the same narrator, narrate all the books when listening to a series. You like to hear and associate the same voices for the main characters. It is too bad Tom Stechschulte can not achieve that. There is no consistency in his voices of the characters. That is just one of the reasons these books are so frustrating. Not too mention the author diminishes a good plot with terribly written sex scenes every other word.
"Not for the faint of heart"
Hard to believe something so raw can also be achingly sweet.
The characters accepted each other for their strengths and weakness lending comfort to one another even when it scared them.
Yes it is fast paced and holds a listener.
"Broken But Not Down"
Ken was broken in every way, but stronger than any man could hope to be.
Ken. After his torture he struggled to find ways to live and remain human. He found his humanity in spades.
I can't stick to one favorite scene. There were two that wouldn't let me go. When he was there with Marigold through the doctor's examination. He took her away from that horror. Then he saved her from the rape by the one she thought was her friend. Both reeled me in and broke my heart. She was so brave and it was sad that she had to be.
Broken Beauty, Broken Beast
"Real military language"
No-written word and the spoken word two different entities.
Yes, but some of the female narrators are not strong enough to carry off a male character (too weak). Best when she has both male/female narrators.
Deadly Game-yes.
"Too much redundent dialogue"
I have been a fan of this author for awhile. But, I found that this book bogged down too much with the same repeatitive thoughts of the characters. I won't say the dialogue as I don't want to be a spoilsport. I listened to this while driving on a long trip and after awhile, I was trying to fast forward through to get to the end. Next time if I listen to this author again, I will only obtain the abridged version. The narrator was easy to listen to otherwise.
"Great book - problem with narrator"
I loved the book and would have loved the audio but I had listened to the narrator on Dee Henderson books and they are more religious and much tamer. I had a really hard time listening too him on this book. I got through the first 10 minutes and quit. I am so sad since the book is great!
