About this listen

The Gunpowder Plot

Exactly as broadcast on November 5, 1945

Will history repeat itself? On the Guy Fawkes holiday in 1899 Holmes and Watson encounter a murder plot with an amazing similarity to a famous case that is almost 300 years old. Can Holmes prevent a murder or will he become a victim himself?

The Babbling Butler

Exactly as broadcast on January 27, 1947

"I must say his actions tonight hardly seem the behavior of a sane man!" comments Dr. Watson on the peculiar musings of the babbling butler. Yet this is only the beginning, as Holmes and Watson find themselves drawn into an investigation of not one, but two tragic deaths.

Easy listen radio serials at its best. Love Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson in these old radio shows.

I knew I was purchasing old radio programs but if you have any sense in your head at all these will drive you crazy for their simplicity. They are not good examples of sherlock holmes - edited and cut and done in a silly fashion with irritating sounds effects. Did not enjoy.
