In Training the Mind, The Dalai Lama explains the basic Buddhist system and lays out a foundation for practice. Almost 15 stars!!!

What made the experience of listening to The Dalai Lama in America the most enjoyable?

He has a great personality!

What other book might you compare The Dalai Lama in America to and why?

If you are looking to be a better person and change for yourself, try the Secret things of God by Dr. Henry Cloud. I am also listening to Live a better life by the Dalai Lama and so far it is great. I have listened to this particular one twice now and I catch something different every time.

What about the narrator’s performance did you like?

I enjoyed the opening buda prayer in buda. It sounded peaceful, humble and like it came from the soul. I know almost nothing about budaism... but it is definitely something I want to learn more about.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me laugh and SMILE!
