Questionable Advice

As a Professional Procurement and Sales Manager, some of the advice given in this book is questionable. The writer has the sales profile of someone that would have a difficult time getting an appointment with me. Many of the tips are absolute rubbish and look as if were made up as he wrote the book.

Great tool and Jeffrey is a tool too.

I have been in sales for over 20 years and most of this book highlights points that many of us have had to learn the hard way.

Jeffrey is clear and straight to the point. He also has no problem telling us how good he is and how much we suck.

If you can get through the ego and bile this is a very good book. If you re just getting started in sales this is a must read.

Don't buy this

The book lacks practical advice regarding how to improve your sales ability. Moreover, Gitomer's style is brash and annoying, which is only compounded by his constant efforts to get you to go to his web site to learn information in an obvious effort to sell you further products. If the information is something the reader needs to know, it should be in this book.

Good Stuff In It

I'm glad he's confident with who he is, and his character, but for Bible believing Christians, this shouldn't be your source for learning. He's on top of his game, and can give you valuable insight, but his speech isn't glorifying the creator of life.

Pay attention to earn more............

Jeffrey Gitomer really impressed me with this audiobook! We are all in sales, but for those of us that call our profession "Sales", this book has some great tips. I will listen to this again and again. Too bad his other books are not audiobooks. It really helps salesmen that travel a lot with our "reading". The only negative is he "sells" all of his other stuff a lot, but...... he is in sales.

I am fast becoming a Gitomer fan.

I have purchased his hard bound books in addition to the audible downloads. I have listened to The Little Red Book twice, and to the Sales Bible once. Each time I pick up something new and usable. I intend to make the Little Red Book a constant in my reading and listening. Not only have I learned a lot, but I am incorporating what I learn in my work.

Old carsalesman tactics presented obnoxiously

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

People who are looking for a psedu-motivational sales book without specific sales tactics

What was most disappointing about Jeffrey Gitomer’s story?

It was like a bad infomercial with little substance

What didn’t you like about the narrator’s performance?

The fake crying, constantly yelling of "You suck!"

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Little Red Book of Selling?

The book constantly sounds like Gitomer is just trying to sell the reader on his product without ever offering anything useful, other than trite tips like not watching tv at night and "working harder"

It was very disappointing

I listened to a previous book from Jeffery Gitomer and I couldn't believe that he returned with the same old concepts and principles in this book. I really wasn't pleased with this effort and I would discourage anyone that's trying to improve on their sales technique from reading this Book.

Best selling book - no bull /no fluff !

I have been listening to various books on sellng over the years but this one beats them all. It eliminates all the fluff and helps you kick you own butt with excellent down to earth advice. Great job Jeffery!

Self serving

The overall concept is good, and I agree with many of his points. However, I feel his main objective is to try and sell and self promote more than he is trying to help the listener sell. There are many references and self advertising to direct you to his website.
