As accessible as it is inspirational, this audiobook to approaching life "in a better way" represents a decade's worth of His Holiness's annual public lectures given in India to audiences from all walks of life. The Dalai Lama's characteristically candid guidance on living fully and responsibly, especially at the onset of a new millennium, focuses on specific themes that range from religious tolerance to compassion and non-violence. A great guide for how to live

I listened to this book years ago when it first came out and I didn't agree with it. Now almost 10 years later I listened to it again through Audible. How was I wrong all those years ago. Now with much more experience I see how H.H. Dalai Lama was correct then and now. He explains how its not religion that makes it wrong, its the people that decide to make it their way. We can call this extremist view of a religion. We also see why people need religion in their lives and others don't. H.H. Dalai Lama goes into details as to how Buddhism works and why it helps people. Here I learned why meditation is so important and how it helps people. Study after study have proven this and yet it's not being taught. I wonder why? H.H. Dalai Lama also goes into each religion needing to teach their true religion to keep extremist from gaining a foothold. This book has, so much we can go into however I recommend you read it.
